Foolish And Unlearned Questions Avoid

Westboro,

Greetings. I have couple questions, if you don’t mind.

1. This is not intended to be vulgar or offensive. You’ve probably answered this elsewhere but I can’t recall seeing it. Is …  between a husband and wife a sin? If so, which Biblical verse(s) are interpreted for this prohibition? Does this prohibition appear in any of the commentators (like Gill) or Puritan preachers (e.g., J Edwards)?

2. Hope this does not conjure up unpleasant memories, but one of my student papers made an interesting conjecture. Among your father and mother’s grandchildren, which, if any, left the church before any older sibling had already left?

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Hillel

Hillel –

1. The standard is Hebrews 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bedundefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

2. Ec. 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

2 Tim 2:23  But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

Thanks for writing.
