This week the homosexual lobby put up their much ballyhooed “God Loves Gays” billboard in Topeka. Of course, we absolutely love it. You don’t mock the Westboro Baptist Church – you mock the Lord Jesus Christ and that God that created you. And, by the way, God is NOT mocked! (Gal. 6:7.) Christ said at Mat. 19:4-6: And he (Christ) answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female (NOT MALE AND MALE OR FEMALE AND FEMALE) And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Listen up, in those simple verses, Christ said: No Homosexuals, No Fornication, and No Adultery).
Your complaint is with the Sovereign God. Christ personally destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah at Genesis 18-19 with fire and brimstone for their homosexuality. Fill the city, the country, and the world with the billboards, but it doesn’t change the character, nature, or decree of God on this subject. Also, every person that sees that billboard is going to think of “God Hates Fags” when they see it.
Interestingly, they have zero biblical support for the lie. It’s not even a close question. The billboard does not have single reference to the Bible. The reason is that they are quoting Satan. You are deceived.
The Apostle Jude knew Christ well, as he was his brother. Here is what Jude said: Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh (this is the Bible’s modest way of saying homosexuality), are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Shut up about God loving gays! It’s not love if He takes vengeance on them with eternal fire- that is hell!
The Greek word rendered “fornication” is “porneia”
1) illicit sexual intercourse
1a) adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc.
1b) sexual intercourse with close relatives; #Le 18:6-23
1c) sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman; #Mr 10:11,12
2) metaphorically the worship of idols
2a) of the defilement of idolatry, as incurred by eating the sacrifices offered to idols
Fornication is a broad concept it mean any sex between people outside of 1 man and 1 woman for life (except for widows). The bible definition also includes the concept of spiritual idolatry. That is, that you have no fidelity to the God that created you, but instead have intentionally rejected him and pursued other gods. You have gone a whoring after other Gods like you have gone a whoring after other loves interests not the wife or husband of your youth.
Judges 10:13-14 God talking…Yet ye have forsaken me, and served other gods: wherefore I will deliver you no more. Go and cry unto the gods which ye have chosen; let them deliver you in the time of your tribulation.
This generation, this country and this world have said with one voice that fornication is not a sin anymore and it is just “old fashioned” for people to not have sex before marriage, for people not to engage in adultery and for people not to engage in rabid homosexuality. You all act as if the clear prohibition against fornication, which includes homosexuality, adultery (multiple marriages and sex with people that are married) as well as premarital sex is discretionary, like you can overrule God. You think that because everyone is doing it, you will be safe. No, you will NOT be safe, everyone will just go to hell. The prohibition against fornication and the commandment that thou shalt not commit adultery is still in fashion with God and is the standard.
You use euphemisms like “dating,” “hooking up,” and others but it is all the same. It’s in practically, every movie, every song, every TV show, etc. you have institutionalized it. But, it is still ungodly, sinful conduct that you will give an account for when you die. 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Fornication (or the root) appears 40 times in the Bible and 10 times alone (25% in the Book of Revelation alone).
Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints.
1 Cor. 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator… with such an one no not to eat. Your duty is to dissociate yourself with every unrepentant fornicator and to vote them out of your membership. Not eating there refers to taking the Lord’s Supper with them.
Col. 3:5-6 ¶ Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection… For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
1Co 6:8-10 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind (homosexuals), Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. God doesn’t love homosexuals… they shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Period.
Re 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not
Re 9:21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
At Revelation 2:14 Christ threatened to take away the candlestick of the Church at Pergamos for among things, the sin for fornication.
You are not repentant of your fornication. You are proud of it. You put it up on billboards and lie on God. This is a great sin that you have committed saying that God Loves Gays. You want to shove it down God’s throat. Well, He isn’t going to have it.
And, you preachers know how mad this issue of fornication makes God and you are silent about it at best and at worst you condone it. You are as watchmen that are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Isaiah 56:10
The Lord is coming, and he will, among other things, judge you for your fornication and homosexuality.
