Westboro Pickets Matthew Shepard’s Funeral On October 16, 1998

On October 11, 2013, in Washington D.C., Westboro Baptist Church members, including myself, stood outside Ford Theater in Washington, D.C., to hold up picket signs about the event going on inside: A theatrical production called “The Laramie Project.” The signs included: God Hates Fags, Fags Are Worthy of Death, Matt Shepard in Hell (with a picture of Matt Shepard), and Judy Sent Matt to Hell. Dennis Shepherd approached me about ½ hour into the picket; I reminded him that we were at his Son’s funeral on October 16, 1998, in Casper, Wyoming, with these same signs (which he acknowledged seeing them) to remind him and Judy Shepard that God will require their souls for the hatred that showed for their son, Matt: teaching him lies about God and His attributes and what God required of their son; and then pimping his dead body out ever since for their gratification and glory. Unless they repent, they will likewise perish, eternally. [Luke 13:1-5]. I suggested that Judy and her wife, Dennis, ought to shut their mouths and never show their faces in public again as a token of their repentance. Dennis Shepard was angry at these words and these signs on October 11, 2013, and said to me: “shove those signs up your ass.” I suspect that he was similarly sensitive to Matt’s condition while he was alive. Nevertheless, we will still do our 2 Timothy 2:25 job: “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.”
Judy and Dennis Shepard, let’s review. We are the only people in the world today showing you any kindness and love: we tell you the truth about your son, Matt; and God’s judgments regarding him. Friends don’t let friends go to hell without warning them. See Christ’s commandment: Love thy neighbor as thyself (Mark 12:31). Jesus Christ first preached that in Leviticus 19:17-18, to wit: “Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”
Judy and Dennis Shepard: On the night of October 6–7, 1998, Shepard met Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson at the Fireside Lounge in Laramie, Wyoming. It was decided that McKinney and Henderson would give Shepard a ride home. McKinney and Henderson subsequently drove the car to a remote, rural area and proceeded to rob, pistol-whip, and torture Shepard, tying him to a fence and leaving him to die. Shepard, who was still alive but in a coma, was discovered 18 hours later. Shepard had suffered fractures to the back of his head and in front of his right ear. He experienced severe brainstem damage, which affected his body’s ability to regulate heart rate, body temperature, and other vital functions. There were also about a dozen small lacerations around his head, face, and neck. His injuries were deemed too severe for doctors to operate. Shepard never regained consciousness and remained on full life support. While he lay in intensive care, and in the days following the attack, candlelight vigils were held around the world. He died at 21 years of age on October 12, 1998. Some say that the motivation for this murder was that Matt Shepard was a fag. Some say it was a drug deal gone wrong. Some say it was a robbery, and these murderers posed as fags to pique Matt Shepard’s lusts to gain an advantage to rob him. It is undisputed, however, that Matt Shepard was a fag, a drug addict (especially methamphetamine), and HIV positive.
The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is required to render judgment on the evidence of this matter because the entire world has insisted that it is okay to be gay and to make a hero out of Matthew Shepard. He was no hero; he lived his sad, miserable life in rebellion against God, he engaged in abominable conduct in defiance of God’s clear command; and having died unrepentant, he inhabits hell for eternity.
Micah 6:9: “The LORD’S voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.”
Leviticus 18:22: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
Romans 1:32: “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things [sodomite acts] are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
1 Corinthians 6:9: “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind.”
Revelation 22:15: “For without [heaven] are [fags], and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”
Deuteronomy 23:17: “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.”
Deuteronomy 32:39: “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.”
Judy and Dennis Shepard, listen up! Stop looking at the instrument of the Lord in killing your Son, and start looking at the source of these things: God Almighty. He who has granted you the breath of life.And for what purpose?To serve him, to obey him, to praise him. Not to pimp fag sin in the name of your dead-and-in-hell son. Read Luke 16:19-31 for Matt’s scene and wishes, now.
Whatever motivated the action by two thugs against Matt Shepard, this country and world mobilized to use this event to promote fags. In light of that reality, Westboro Baptist Church mobilized to preach God’s truth at the funeral event where the world focused, WHICH TRUTH IS GOD HATES FAGS; MATT IS IN HELL FOR ETERNITY. As we drove to Wyoming from Kansas the governors of Kansas and Wyoming engaged in the sin against the Holy Spirit—ascribing the work of the Lord Jesus Christ via WBC to the work of Satan—and the Casper City Council met at night to pass a law criminalizing WBC’s Gospel preaching: “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” [2 Corinthians 5:20]. Imagine, we have the only message of peace from the Prince of Peace, to the world; and we arrive to deliver it, and the government has told the world that we are criminals for it. And, the world was there on the scene when we arrived outside the godawful Episcopal church in Casper, Wyoming, to preach on October 16, 2013. (No further proof was necessary: Judy and Dennis burying Matt at the Episcopal Church is proof positive of his damnation.) The world’s media was pimping fag sin and rebellion. Not one told the only relevant fact concerning the matter: Matt Shepard is in hell and will be for eternity. Nevertheless In the telling of the funeral event, the preaching of Christ is told: “God Hates Fags” and “Matt Shepard is in hell;” and therein we rejoice. [Philippians 1:18].
Then a greedy Jew named Moises Kaufmann wrote a play called “The Laramie Project” and has raked in big bucks ever since where that play has been produced all over the country and world. Its purpose is to promote fag sin and rebellion. Appearing on the stage in every production is our Gospel preaching in the form of our picket signs: God Hates Fags and Matt Shepard is in hell. In every production Christ is preached and we therein rejoice. [Philippians 1:18].
Then a sodomite nation passed a law which increases penalties for crimes motivated by sexual orientation, calling it the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act. Its primary purpose is to promote fag sin and rebellion. In the telling of the story of that goofy piece of legislation Christ is preached, and we therein rejoice. [Philippians 1:18].
Worse than all of that is what his parents, Judy and Dennis Shepard, did. His mother is a prime force behind the Matthew Shepard Foundation, which promotes sodomite sin and rebellion against God, focusing her efforts towards the youth. And, like a bunch of blind seals the masses clap and bark approval at her. The group was founded in December 1998 by Dennis and Judy Shepard in supposed memory of Matthew. But they don’t tell the only relevant fact about his memory, to wit: Matt is in hell and will be for eternity. Judy roams around the nation demanding large money to rage against God and promote sodomite sin and shame. Without any credit to her, when she opens her big truffle-chute to curse God, Christ is preached, and we therein rejoice. [Philippians 1:18].
WBC uses these preaching opportunities such as “The Laramie Project” production in Washington D.C. on October 11, 2013, 15 years after God killed Matt and sent him to hell for eternity pursuant to his eternal wrath towards fags– as a public service to our fellow man and love for our eternal King—reminding all that God does not change. That there is one theme in the Bible on this subject: God has eternal enmity/hatred/wrath/abhorrence towards fags. And, it doesn’t matter how many candle light vigils you hold, goofy laws you pass, and money you pay to con artists like Judy and Dennis Shepard. God starts in Genesis 13:13: “But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.” And all the way through to the end, his uncompromising judgment is declared: God Hates Fags. Jude 1:7 “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.”
Eph 5:31-32: “For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”
Psalm Chapter 2: “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
