Hell Is Too Long — Stop The Lies

eternal

Westboro Baptist Church members,

I have been experiencing a spiritual urging to contact your church, in hopes of engaging in a conversation with you.  know that I am a sinner. I have done plenty of things in my life that should have sealed my fate and damned me to hell. But these sins have not damned me to hell, for our awesome, merciful God has defeated them. And although I may not be proud of those sins from my past, even feeling shame for having committed them, I do not have to hide them or cover them up, for I know that they no longer tie me down. We all have these sins from our past, and we will all continue to commit more and more sins until the day we die. But these are things we do not have to feel afraid to admit to, because our God has taken those burdens off our shoulders. How great is it that we have a God who is so powerful, that He can stand before all the sin in the world, and laugh in its face? How amazing is it that our God has conquered and put to death all the evil the human race has created on this planet?

I think this is an incredible thing, and indeed something that should be celebrated. And since our God has done this for all of mankind, I think it should be celebrated with all of mankind.

Westboro, I love you. You all are my brothers and sisters of God. Although I find intense conflict with your ministry, although it brings me great pain to watch your church project anger and hate out into the world, it hurts me just as much to watch that same anger and hatred returned ten-fold unto you by the greater public. This world is not heaven, nor was it intended to be. That’s the great mystery of the Earth: if God is both all-loving and all-powerful, then why is there so much pain and evil in the world? It is a question that so many wrack their brains over–many taking consolation in the conclusion that the question is problematic, that God either must not be all-loving, or he must not be all-powerful. Others become so frustrated with the question that it turns them away from the faith altogether. Still others, like myself, choose to accept that we cannot understand the ways of God, and simply trust that our Father has a plan for this world, and he has a plan for each of us. The best thing we can do in the meantime is be as loving and as caring to our brothers and sisters as we can possibly be, as our Father did in his time here on Earth.

I would love to hear a response from your church if you would wish to give me one. I would imagine this email address gets quite a bit of traffic, and you probably cannot answer everyone.

With love,

Ryan

Dear Ryan –

So much vain speaking!

So shall we all join a gay pride parade?  No shame, no blame, no worries?

God hates fags. God hates fag enablers. God will NOT have fag marriage.

Doomed USA is marrying fags!  You want to talk about not being ashamed?  I’m afraid of your lies, they lead to death and hell.

Ec. 12:13 ¶  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Acts 17:30  And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31  Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11  Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Thanks for writing.
