A High School Interview

1) Has the media reaction to Snyder v. Phelps surprised you or your church?  No!  They think they were doing one thing, but instead what they were doing was covering this nation and this earth with the Word of God.  That is an amazing work of God and it is marvelous in our eyes.

2) When is the ruling estimated to be announced (Forgive me, I take AP Government next year and do no know that much about the Judicial Branch yet)?  It could be up to 6 months from the time of arguments (October 6).  I doubt they would teach you that factoid in your AP Government class.

3) How do you think the decision will effect our right to free speech and peaceful assembly? And don’t forget to practice your religion without government intrusion.  I believe the Court will uphold the rule of law.  Whatever that ruling is, it will fulfill the will of God.  So it will be just fine.  We have gone all our lives trusting in the God that created us.  We believe the record he left and we believe the promises of our Beloved Savior.

4) I understand you (and most of your family) have a background in law from Washburn. With that knowledge and the current appointment of Elena Kagan and the effects of the Citizens United Campaign decision, do you think your defense stands a chance in court?  Yes.  Our God owns the shields.  They will do according to his will.  The shields of the earth are those that God puts in place to protect the people.  (Ps 47:9  The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.)   It would be a miscalculation to think that God cannot deal with the hearts of those judges and make them obey the law.

5) Do you think media opinion might determine the outcome of the decision before you even get to court? I know they would love to have the mob rule in the nation, but God will have his way in all matters.

6) Is there any doubt in your mind that you might lose the case? If so what will happen after wards for the Westboro Baptist Church? WBC will be just fine.  We will do according as our God would put before us.  We have received this ministry to preach the Gospel.  We will do that until our testimony is complete.  God alone will decide that.

8) (This one is a question for me personally) Why does your church hang different countries flags on your flag pole? It’s just something I’ve never been able to get a satisfying answer for.   Depending upon what is going on in this world, we hang those flags. We hang them upside down, as this generation is in distress.  E.g.  Canada had policies of filth and this nation loves to follow in their steps.  So we hung the Canada flag above Doomed america’s flag to show the picture of that nation sitting on the head of this nation dripping God-hating policies down upon her head.  Etc.

Thank a bunch!

You’re welcome.
