thank you both for your thoughtful responses to my questions. I still don’t quite understand why God would have created all of these people in the first place if He really hates most of us so much, but I suppose that none of us can really understand how God makes his decisions anyway. [blah, blah, justifying blah blah]

Did you think it was your place to QUESTION WHY God would do this or that thing? If you would give a tithe of the time you spend picking lint from your navel with your fluffy thinking, just READING the Word of God!!! READ THE WORDS! It is all about the words David – the words! I had a law professor that said – when it comes to the WRITTEN WORDS, don’t think great thoughts, READ THE WORDS!! Christ is called THE WORD!! Come on smart guy! Get with the program and READ THE WORDS!
Ok – I digressed!
The WORDS would help you to understand that the Living God does what he wills in the armies of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth and NONE shall stay his hand nor say unto him, WHAT DOEST THOU?! You don’t get to ask God WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING creating ALL THOSE PEOPLE when you were just going to hate them. Yikes! Read Romans 9 and Daniel 4 and oh, ALL THE WORDS!
Another thing you would drill down with a reading of THE WORDS is that God gets his glory in his creatures! Just look at these amazing words, and if they fill you with rebellious anger, too bad! Your duty is to FEAR GOD and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS and give the glory of ALL these things, TO GOD!! Now, to the words rebel:
Psalm 76:10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
Isa 42:8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Malachi 2:2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.
God will have his glory and his name is jealous and he will NOT let you give the glory of oh, say, the hurricane and the horrible weather from the past winter to your false goddess mother nature. THAT is HIS glory and you bring more wrath upon your disobedient heads when you do that.
Psalm 147:15 He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.
16 He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.
17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
Na 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5 The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6 Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.
7 The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies.
The scriptures are FULL of the sovereignty of God! Why he does a thing or not and it is all for his glory! You would do well to read it all, but Romans 9 drills down about the potter and the clay and the vessels of wrath that are FITTED to destruction. That is to say, God makes this or that rebel to destroy them, FOR HIS GLORY! You can do NOTHING about that!
Christ: Matthew 20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? Christ is God! He does what he wants to do.
I think the better way to summarize these exchanges is this:
David: I don’t believe.
WBC: Your unbelief is NOT binding upon us, and it is not binding upon God!
End it with this: Your duty is to OBEY YOUR GOD! That doesn’t change no matter what you think.
