E. Coli’s a great distributor/acceptor of genetic material. Germany’s strain (0104:H4) contains a Shiga Toxin which shuts down protein synthesis in the body’s infected cells, basically killing them. Germany’s strain has reached America. This is the single greatest outbreak in recorded history.
