Your Lust, Covetousness, Idolatry And Pride Are The Reasons For The Season

Nothing says “birth of Christ” like sticking an evergreen tree in your living room...especially if you trampled someone at Walmart on your way to get it.

Christmas is pagan idolatry.  It is based on pagan holidays and pagan customs.  You will not read about Christmas in the Bible.  It was not celebrated by Christ, his disciples, or any of the early churches.  In fact, this holiday that we call “Christmas” was not celebrated by so-called “Christians” until the 4th century AD, when it was declared a holiday by the corrupt Catholic Church.

So why did they pick December 25th as the date?  You can read all about the birth of Christ in the Bible, and you will find nothing to support that date.  If God wanted us to institute some new religious holiday to celebrate His birth, don’t you think that the Holy Ghost would have made that date clear?  So why, pray tell, did the Catholic Pope Julius I pick December 25th?  Well, he picked it because it coincided with a bunch of pagan festivals going on around that time.  He wanted in on the fun.  So, for example, we have the Roman festival called Saturnalia, which involved a time of drunkenness, gluttony, human sacrifice, and orgies.  If you look the word “saturnalia” up in the dictionary, the definition is “unrestrained revelry; orgy.”  This is one of the festivals that Christmas was based on!  Another festival going on at the time was called Brumalia, where Roman gods, including Bacchus, were worshiped.  This holiday ended on December 25. Bacchus was the effeminate, fag god of drunkenness and orgies.  In fact, to this day, drunken orgies are called bacchanalias.  Now, given the history of the Catholic Church, my guess is that Pope Julius wanted to bring the orgies into the church, especially if young boys were involved.  And he certainly succeeded – by the Middle Ages, Christmas was just that: a drunken orgy taking place in the church, where the atmosphere was very similar to Mardi Gras today.

These pagan Roman holidays, and similar pagan holidays, are what the Pope took as the template for his new holiday, and the pagan traditions are still being followed today:  for example, nothing says “birth of Christ” like sticking an evergreen tree in your living room, especially if you trampled someone at Walmart on your way to get it.  Listen to Jeremiah 10:3-4: “For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.”  Sound familiar?

So, you phony Christians, put down your eggnog-filled “Jesus is the reason for the season” coffee mugs, stop telling your kids lies about Santa Claus, and listen up.  Jesus is NOT the reason for the season.  Your lust, covetousness, idolatry and pride are the reasons for the season.  You have taken filthy pagan festivals and customs and have tacked the blessed name of Christ on them.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.

Amen.
