How would someone in WBC be able to start families if they can not date. Are they allowed to date within the ministry? Ive been watching the different shows that you are on and when louie from the BBC came to visit the first time he asked how could the children start families and i never really understood the answer. Is it because we are in the last final days that no one is interested in starting families because of that? Just very curious about this church.

The members of Westboro Baptist Church have families the same way everyone else does. The difference is that we view the matter of marriage as the serious business that it is. Spouses have a duty to each other and parents have a duty to their children that they teach them to serve God in truth and raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. How can you do that if you purposefully tie yourself to an unbeliever?
Our first duty in life is to God. We are content with the life the Lord has given us. If that life includes a spouse and children – great. If it doesn’t – great. 1
Co 7:27 Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife.
Life isn’t about finding someone to marry. It’s about serving God.
1Co 7:33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. 34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 35 And this I speak for your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but for that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction.
We have adult members who are married with children and adult members who are not married. We don’t “date” within or without of the ministry. There’s no scripture for it.
Remember Victoria, just like every other person you have a duty: Ec 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
