But He That Is Spiritual Judgeth All Things, Yet He Himself Is Judged Of No Man

Dear Westboro Baptist Church,

As a high school student, I am working on gathering resources for my senior research paper. My topic is whether or not hate groups should have the right to assemble. As your church is classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, I was wondering if you would grant me an interview. I am curious on your thoughts on my subject, as
well as some of your views as an organization.

I apologize if this is offensive in any way. That is obviously not my intention.

Thank you for your time,

Amy

Hi, Amy –

See below for answers to your questions:

1. You are listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a hate group due to your repeated protests and actions against the homosexual community. Would you agree with the term “Hate Group” to describe your organization?

Dees and Levin, who are founders of SPLC fall under the heading of Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

Preaching to the world that their sin will take them to hell is a very loving thing, done by this little band of people free of charge that ask nothing in return.

2. What sort of preparation goes into planning a protest? How far in advance must it be planned?

The exact amount of necessary planning that is required. We plan in advance as far as is reasonable and possible. It also depends on the event, as sometimes we have little notice when a preaching opportunity come along. Our God helps us all the way.

3. Were there any incidents in which the Westboro Baptist Church was accused of inciting violence? (And here I am not talking about actions against the church, but rather actions by the church that deviated from your ideals on non-violence.)

No.

4. I know this was addressed in your FAQ section, but I am slightly confused: what makes one sin worse than any other? For example, Lev.15:19- 24 sanctions selling one’s daughter into slavery. Exodus 35:2 demands that anyone who works on the Sabbath day should be put to death. Why not champion these ideals? What makes the Bible’s stance on homosexuality more important than any other long-ignored teachings?

Those verses you put forth were done away with when Jesus Christ came as propitiation for our sins. Those laws that were ceremonial were done away with.

Do you really think the following verses deal with “selling one’s daughter into slavery”??

Leviticus 15:19 ¶ And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.20 And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.21 And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.22 And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.23 And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.24 And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.

How embarrassing is that for you?  Talk to someone about biology, dear.

The beautiful concept of one man, one woman for life as put so eloquently in Mark 10 by Our Savior is torn asunder by LBGT freaks, adulterers, pedophiles –

Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

This same glorious concept is a symbol of Jesus Christ and His Church also known as His Bride. All the filth substituted by brutes of this world as acceptable makes that concept out as something bad or wrong. God will repay for that.

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Westboro Baptist church champions all the ideals of truth and judgment in these last of all days. You’re not listening.

5. Have you noticed an increase in your patrons and supporters ever since the creation of your website? How else has your website and the materials on it impacted your cause?

No. Our website is a wonderful tool from God to reach every corner of the world. Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

6. What is a day like in the households of members? For example, how are your children raised? What do you do for entertainment or fun? How active is the church in the surrounding community?

We work, go to school, picket and participate in and visit our children’s schools regularly.

Ephesians 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

We read the bible with our families and we love to get to together and sing praises to Our God. Beautiful in its simplicity.

Zephaniah 3:8 Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

Amy, we wait upon our God for the fulfillment of His promises. He is faithful in all things.

Thanks for writing.

Dear WBC –

Thank you very much for your reply! Please allow this small amendment to previous questions:

Dear Amy –

You will find additional responses to your questions below:

My apologies for the mistake on question number 4. Obviously I mixed up my Bible verses, but I thank you for your concern about my education. Rest assured that I am familiar with the concept of biology.

The same question still holds true — this Bible verse describes how a woman is unclean for 7 days when on her daily menstrual period, and how any man who touches her or comes into contact with any of her belongings must be cleaned. Obviously most people in this world do not follow this advice. Is this also considered “have been done away when Jesus Christ come as propitiation for our sins?”

Yes. All that was unclean has been made clean by the blood of Christ. Acts chapter 10 is good text to read on that.

In answer to your question, I don’t embarass easily. But you should know that the verses I meant to reference were Exodus 21:7-11, which clearly condones not only the selling of one’s daughter into sex slavery, but also dictates the rights of the owners of these slaves. Hardly something any modern day person would champion.

Same thing, these things are done away with.

Also, I notice that verses you use to support your tirade against homosexuals also come from Leviticus, another part of the old testament. In this case, how do you decide which parts of the old testament are obsolete in modern times?

Those verses from Leviticus were part of the Moral Law, not ceremonial. The moral law remains and we are to follow it to this day. See also these verses in Romans for text from the New Testament about homosexuals:

Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Expanding on question one: What sorts of things must be addressed before a protest? For example, signs must be made, and travel booked. I’m guessing the local authorities must be informed that a protest is taking place? Can you expand on what other planning must take place?

We must make and pack signs; if flying, we book tickets and hotels. We notify law enforcement that we will be practicing our first amendment rights and that the oath they took includes protecting us as we do so. We pray that The Lord will keep us and protect us, which he always does.

Please understand that I do not ask these questions to judge or call into question your lifestyle. I am asking as a student who is eager to learn about points of view different from my own.

By saying my words about homosexuality (that are grounded and proven by the Holy Bible, King James AV) is a tirade, you indeed were judging. It is not for you to judge those that serve God, Amy.

1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1Co 4:4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

1Co 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

That’s all you get, Dear Amy.
