How Do I Repent Of My Sins And Serve God?

Hi WBC

Almost everything you preach at the WBC goes against what Iwas taught. My mother is Jewish, my father is “Christian” and I was raised Jewish. in my early teens I was agnostic, and since I was seventeen, I thought I’d seen the light in Hellenistic Paganism. But then, through Youtube, I discovered your church. And the more I
watched, the more I thought maybe you were right. I have good intuition and it’s telling me to listen to you. My brain says you’re crazy, but I’ve found that when my brain and my intuition dissagree, my intuition is always right. The point is, I don’t know what to do next. How do I repent my sins? How do I serve God? What can
I do to spread this message? I want to be obediant to God’s will. I just don’t know where to start. Could you please help me? Yes, I’ve gone astray, but I’m looking to get on the true path to God. Thank you
for your time,
Raye

P.S.: I don’t know when you’ll be making your next music video, but when you do, you should do it for “Lukewarm,” your parody of Katy Perry’s “Hot ‘n’ Cold” I think that’s your best re-write yet, better than the original

Dear Raye,

Repent: To change one’s mind for better, heartily to amend with abhorrence of one’s past sins. If your mind is changed, your conduct changes.

Your other questions are very broad, and only reading the entirety of the Old and New Testaments will give you a full understanding, but your answer can be very generally/superficially answered like so: stop the proud, presumptuous sinning; mourn for your sins; fear the Lord your God and seek Him & He will be found of you; believe on the Lord Jesus Christ; obey/serve God with all your heart, soul, mind and might; get to the place where Christ meets with His people on this earth; eat of the manna (that is, the Word, who is Jesus Christ) that is preached at the church daily; get baptized; minister unto and receive comfort from your fellow saints; watch for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ; endure afflictions with the people of God; do the work of an evangelist; make full proof of your ministry (partake in the preaching ministry of the church); overcome Satan; repeat as needed until the Lamb returns in power and glory.

(And this all presupposes that God has given you grace.) Here are verses in support of the above:

John 8:11  She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Matthew 5:4  Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Dr. Gill expounds “Blessed are they that mourn” like so: “For sin, for their own sins; the sin of their nature, indwelling sin, which is always working in them, and is a continual grief of mind to them; the unbelief of their hearts, notwithstanding the many instances, declarations, promises, and discoveries of grace made unto them; their daily infirmities, and many sins of life, because they are committed against a God of love, grace, and mercy, grieve the Spirit, and dishonour the Gospel of Christ:”

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Mark 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

John 14:15 ¶  If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Ec 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

1Ch 28:9  And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Ps 27:4  One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

Joh 6:35  And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Lu 4:4  And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Acts 16: 30  And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32  And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33  And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Heb 6:10  For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

1Co 1:21  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Heb 11:24  By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; 25  Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

2Ti 4:5  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Re 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
