It’s Not About Your Wisdom

Hi Heather-

My comments are below your text in bold.

Hi,

I’m a Christian and firmly believe in Jesus Christ.

1) A “Christian” believes and obeys Christ. Christ is the Word, the entire Bible. (See John 1)
1John 2:4  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

As you say the Jewish people did kill Jesus who was Jewish himself. This is an undeniable truth. I personally don’t hold Jewish people accountable but each follows religion in their own way.

2) It is not about your wisdom. It will always come up short. It is what the Father deems important. He holds the Jews accountable for murdering their Savior, His Son, when the Jewish leaders cast that wicked deed upon their progeny. They all must repent of that grievous sin and some will. Some Jews, the Elect Jews, will be given a spirit of grace and supplications and will repent and serve Him in truth. It’s God’s perfect will that Christ would be killed (being made the only effectual Lamb sacrifice for His own) at the hand of the rebellious Jews, but that in no way excuses their evil deeds. All to the glory of God to magnify His name and show His power for His ways are past finding out!

Matthew 27:
20  But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.
21  The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.
22  Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.
23  And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.
24  When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.
25  Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.
26   Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

Zechariah 12:10  And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him [Christ], as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

As people who hate the Jewish people you do realize that the first half of the bible (the Old Testament) was written by Jews and for Jews, which the Jewish people follow to this day. If you hate the Jewish people so much why do all of your quotes come from the Jewish Torah? Why would you even acknowledge the Jewish Torah (AKA the Old Testament)

3)We do not hate the Jews. We love them per God’s commandment in Leviticus 19:17-18 where loving your neighbor is defined. That love is to warn them of their sins that is taking them to hell. Again, the ENTIRE Bible is Christ or ‘The Word.’ (John 1) We love every single verse, which was written for our learning (Romans 15:4). Be clear. God hates them. His Word for it. His love is for the penitent and contrite only. The rest of mankind He hates.

As someone who sees themselves as “Christian” do you not think it more fitting to follow the laws that Jesus Christ gave us himself? “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15:12 RSV) Do you not think you should love the Jews then if you truly consider yourself Christian?

4) Telling them the truth IS the only loving thing to do after the pattern of Christ. “Go and sin no more!” Of a truth, the world hates their fellowman. They lie one to another which enables and promotes sin.

“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. “But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25-26 KJV)

5) The Jews have not sin against me but have sinned against their Creator. The verse does not apply here. We are to forgive when someone has sinned against us and is sincerely sorry for that offense – “seventy times seven.” Again, after the pattern of Christ. We have no power to forgive sins against the Lord.

As a Christian who wants to do what is right should I follow your preaching? Or follow the words of our Lord Jesus Christ?

6)They are one in the same. These words of life and health ARE Christ since God’s faithful servants daily strive to put on the mind of Christ and submit to His divine will.

As a learning Christian please help me understand what you are trying to do?

7) To obey God and warn my fellow man to do the same. Or better yet, Solomon, the wisest man that ever lived, sums that answer best:

Eccl 12:13   Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Thanks for writing!

Luci,
Thankful WBC member and servant of Jesus Christ
