God Doesn’t Want Or Need Your Respect, He Demands Obedience

I am genuinely curious, who are you to speak for God? When you stand before him what will he think of you? The God you describe is vengeful and hateful. My God loves everyone unconditionally, for we are all his children. God gave us the gift of free will, he does not kill us for revenge. If that was the case, wouldn’t some live forever? We die because the choices we make can lead us into harmful situations, but even the most careful can not avoid death. I am curious to know what you think of my opinion. I do not think God wants us to live in fear, for what kind of life would that be? I wouldn’t want to waste the time he’s given me. He certainly holds my highest respect.

Jenna –

You don’t serve the God of eternity, you serve yourself. You serve the “If it feels good do it” mantra.

The God of eternity gave us COMMANDMENTS not suggestions. It’s not an option.

Does God love the people in hell? How about Osama bin Laden or Sadam Hussein? God does not love everyone and there is absolutely no scripture to support that lie, however there is much scripture that says the exact opposite. God loves his elect and hates the rest:

The Lord Jesus Christ said that if you have free will you should grow a foot, and if you can’t do that then shut up and obey!

Lu 12:25  And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26  If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

As to what God will think of us when we stand before him, we have a genuine hope that he will set us on his right hand and will inherit the kingdom:

Mt 25: 34  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Check out these wonderful verses Jenna:

Ec 12:13  Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Ps 5:7  But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.

Jos 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Mt 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Hey Jenna – this would be your unvengeful, unconditionally loving God who doesn’t kill anybody and doesn’t want us to fear him. He says to FEAR HIM – he can cast you into hell!)

The time is short Jenna. The return of the Lord Jesus Christ is at hand! The real question is when you stand before God what will he say about you? All evidence points to Mt 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

The reality is that you are wasting the time God has given you. If you aren’t actively warning your fellow man to flee the wrath to come you are wasting it! Oh, and by the way, God doesn’t want your respect (which you don’t really have for him anyway), he demands your obedience.

Thanks for writing!
