Thanks for accepting my interview request.
As I stated in the previous e-mail, the focus of my article will be to debunk Rush Limbaugh’s notion that your protests are based on a partisan Democrat or Liberal agenda. However, I would be remiss if I did not ask some other questions about the protests.
What is the purpose of protesting at military funerals?
Purpose of protesting military funerals is to connect dots FOR THE LIVING! That soldier was raised by a nation in rebellion against God and was taught that rebellion and he owned it and became one with it! IF YOU DON’T REPENT, you will join him in hell! You have to OBEY the commandments of God! Your destruction is imminent! The NATION is talking about the dead soldiers, so WE are talking about the Dead. Have you written to the media and asked them why they are talking about dead soldiers? Shall I go on with all the questions about who you should be asking, if this question is on the table for discussion. We talk about what YOU talk about. You just don’t like our words.
How many military funerals has Westboro protested at?
Between five and six hundred.
Is there anything biblical to support protesting at the funerals? Jesus said to render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s.
YES! Christ used two death events that are recorded in the gospels, where the people were talking about the dead. The Tower of Siloam fell [Luke 13:4-5] and the people were talking about it. Christ told them – do you think they were worse sinners than the rest of you? NO, they were not, and if you don’t repent, you will go to hell with them. Then, when Pilate mingled some Faux-Christians blood with their sacrifices, the people were talking about it. Christ said – do you think they were worse sinners than the rest of you? NO, they were not, and if you don’t repent, you will go to hell with them. [Luke 13:1-3]. As for rendering unto Caesar, it speaks of OBEY THE LAWs of Caesar and pay your taxes and whatever else the government requires of you.
Do either the Democratic or Republican Party either endorse or participate with Westboro Baptist Church in the military funeral protests?
Absolutely NOT! Thankfully NOT! They don’t serve God! We serve God, and these are the last hours of the last days of all! If any big bunches of people agreed with or “endorsed” our ministry, I would be very worried.
Traveling all over the country for the protests seems rather expensive. How does a small church get the funds for the protests?
Our funding is a huge secret, but since you asked nice, I’ll tell! J Get close, listen softly. WE WORK! We pay our own way. We don’t ask for or take anything from anyone!
What is the political party affiliation of Fred Phelps?
Way back in the day – WAY back in the day, he registered to vote. Democrat was his registration because in those days, Democrat meant that you understood that GOD said that he had made of ONE BLOOD, all nations of the world to dwell upon this earth. [See Paul’s sermond on Mars Hill in Acts 17:22-31]. Therefore Doomed america, treat your black brothers RIGHT!
Has Fred Phelps ever run for a public office? If so, what party? Did he win the nomination? If so, did he win the general election?
When we first began this ministry on the streets, and as a way to get a platform to speak about these issues of vital concern to the soul of the nation, back in the day when it was not crystal clear that this nation’s destruction was IMMINENT, he ran for office every time there was an election. He went to all the debates and he got these words before the State of Kansas. Then we had to move to the nation and the world. Running for office was not going to get it. JAlong the way, he won a nomination or two (by default I think) but of course, no general election. I do recall when he ran for the US Senate being shocked when he turned up with over 50,000 votes. YIKES! 20 years we have stood on the mean streets of Doomed america, our shock meters are now shattered beyond repair and our eyes are wide open and we listen for the sound of the last Trump! Woe unto this nation, WOE, WOE, WOE!
Does Fred Phelps contribute money to any political party? Which one?
No.
Does Fred Phelps donate money to political candidates?
No.
Is the Westboro Baptist Church “liberal”?
Westboro Baptist Church is OBEDIENT! YAY! But in the important, Bible, sense, we are the most liberal and only liberal on the landscape. See Isaiah 32: “8 But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.”
And, see, John Gill’s commentary relating to that verse: “The man of a princely spirit consults and contrives, and delivers out things worthy of a prince and governor in the church of God; he that is one of a free spirit, that is made free by the Spirit of God, and is led into the doctrines of free grace, will study to deliver out the same to others, and, as he has freely received, he will freely give, and without any sinister, selfish, and mercenary ends and views: and by liberal things shall he stand; or, “be established” {i}; both by the doctrines of free grace he dispenses to others, to be established by and with which is a good thing; and by the free communications of the gifts and grace of the Spirit to him, to supply and furnish him yet more and more for his work; by the discoveries of the free favour of God unto him; by the enjoyment of his gracious presence in private and in public; by the blessings of a free and well ordered covenant; and, at last, by being brought to eternal glory and happiness, in which he will be settled to all eternity; or, “on liberal things shall he stand”; grace here, and glory hereafter. The Targum is, ‘the righteous consult truth, and they upon truth shall stand.’
Did members of Westboro Baptist Church protest at Al Gore’s father’s funeral?
YES! YAY! Pick me! I was there! It was in Nashville in December (6?), 1998. I remember it well, as I was 8 months pregnant with my #10 baby and I had to run through an airport – FAST! J Also, it was two months after the Matthew Shepard funeral. I got to go there too! What an amazing ride this has been! I’m so thankful to the Lord my God, my Heavenly Father that he let these foolish, base, despised nobodies carry this word to the last generation of all! Now you understand why we hasten to the streets! RUNNING to and fro – we search for any little soul that has a heart to know their God! God is willing that a single one of his sheep should perish! They will ALL come to repentance and the method to call them is PREACHING! The preaching, my little friend MUST BE TRUTH! Don’t manage the message, say it as it is written and then, shut up and go on! We don’t own salvation! So we warn and run and we delight in all the ways that our Father makes the words to prosper. He keeps his servants that stand continually before him to rejoice! Leap for Joy!
Did Fred Phelps raise funds for Al Gore in 1988 or any other time?
NO! However, Fred Phelps, Jr. did.
Do you think that you could protest at military funerals in most other countries?
Well, I don’t recall actually focusing on military funerals in other countries, – oh wait, YES, in the UK and Canada, we have protested to them about their dead soldiers. It was along this wise, to wit: Jer 11:7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice. Zec 3:6 And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying, 7 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. THAT is how we protest to the whole world, but specifically about dead soldiers, UK/Canada. Other nations, we have protested to them about their dead from Plane Crashes, HORRIBLE flooding and heat and on and on!
Do you find it ironic that you are protesting at funerals of a military that has fought to allow you the right of freedom of speech that allows you to engage in such protests?
Here is where we part good discussion! I have good discussion, but you – not so much! SHUT YOUR MOUTH! Don’t do so foolishly as to give the GLORY of God to the filthy, rebels that make up Doomed america’s military! YIKES! We got EVERYTHING from God! We have NOTHING except what he gave us! GOD would keep this nation in all her ways if she had policies of OBEY! But she does not! So there is NOTHING that the broken-moral-compass bastard children of this nation can do that will stop the pending, horrible destruction that is on the way! One of the names of God is Jealous! When you stupid earth dwellers give the glory of God to your fat-assed false goddess mother nature and to your own sorry, incompetent backsides, you enrage God! He said that all these judgments and events are HIS glory, and he will NOT give his glory to another! DO NOT DO THAT! #BadPlan!
Do you think that the funeral protests might have the opposite effect of what you want by angering people who might otherwise be opposed to homosexuality?
God sent us forth to the funerals, so they will accomplish EXACTLY what he sent us with the words to accomplish! Read Isaiah 55. Good stuff! REALLY READ IT!!
