Matthew 11:24: 24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee!

I am trying to understand the reasoning for picketing an innocent 20 year old females funeral. How can one female be held accountable for the so called “sins” of Oaklahoma? * * * (Editor’s note: There’s a threshhold of really stupid questions one can tolerate and than they have to be cut off as gendering strife only. This inquiry relates to our funeral picket Saturday in Moore, Oklahoma.)

Helga,

You asked this question in an e-mail to Westboro Baptist Church: “How can one female be held accountable for the sins of Oklahoma?”

Let me ask you a question or two:

How can the entire Adamic race be held accountable for the sins of Adam? Yet they are. Romans 5:20: “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men”.

How can the entire population (including babes and sucklings) of Sodom and Gomorrah be held accountable for the sins of those who surrounded Lot’s house for the purpose of raping the two angels that were visiting? Yet they are.

See Genesis Chapter 19. Jude 1:7 “Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.” The holocaust that destroyed Sodom didn’t exempt 20-year-old females, you ninny.

Why are you not held to the same standard that Paul held Timothy to? You are.

2 Timothy 2:15: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

We’ll see you at the picket, the Lord willing.

PS: Our mission is described in various places, including Mark 16: “15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
