Letter To The Editor In That Evil Town Called McAlester

                   DSC_0038Dear editor,

The column by Rachel Petersen of 11/26, bowing down to dead soldiers, is an insincere disservice to the people of McAlester, Oklahoma.

She claims an epiphany of sorts when she covered the worship of the dead soldier in McAlester on November 13.  She says she wept throughout.  As she walked around in the riotous mob that wanted to kill the six servants of God from Westboro Baptist Church, she wasn’t crying; she was angry.  She hated the words.  She thinks she can fill the air with words and outfox God.

Where are these alleged tears for the great sins of this nation?  Or for the fact that it is too late for that soldier?  (They don’t hear or give-a-hoot-about your faux-thanks!  They’re dead!)  Or for the great outrage of the media and elected officials drumming up a violent mob in rebellion against God?  You pretend you’ve got power in numbers, waving your filthy, bloody flags-yet the dead soldier did not come back to life!

Soldiers of a cursed nation don’t give you freedom, Miss Rebel Writer.  God does.  And he only gives you freedom-from sin, wrath and destruction-if you obey him.  This surge of rage by the McAlester community and paper against God is going to end very poorly-for all of you.  God is fighting against you; that is a battle you can never win.

Meanwhile, you slashed our tires supposing to silence the words from the ambassadors of God Almighty-a very bad plan.  Now God is killing your citizens, avenging his Holy Name.  You’d better repent and make it right with God.

Today, God has left you still alive.  Today, you can still mourn for your sins.  Today, you can still obey.  Stop sinning, including fornication, adultery (divorce/remarriage), murder (war/abortion), sodomy, same-sex marriage, and idolatry (including worship of the flag and dead).

That’s your hope-not a thankless journalist who’s decided to campaign against God.
