You May Not Agree With The Westboro Baptist Church, But There Are Fundamental Rights That Were Established In This Country In Her Infancy! You Don’t Get To Outlaw Words You Hate/Disagree With – You Get To Say MORE WORDS! Most People Don’t Get It, But Sometimes There Are Little Friendlies Sprinkled Around That Understand That Simple Concept :)

Charles Bingley,

Here are the signs we hold all over the nation. They are of life, peace, and health to your never-dying soul. That’s why we’re out on the streets.
This picture was taken outside of SCOTUS while some of us were insidenormal_DSC_0500 watching (participating in) the arguments. There were several protest groups outside that day all expressing their sincerely held beliefs.

It was a pleasure meeting you, Charles Bingley. We shall not bother you with any more photos! Hope these have some value to you.

WBC,

I cannot thank you enough for your willingness to speak with me tonight, and for your sharing of the photos.  They will be of great help and value for my students and colleagues.

It was a distinct honor meeting you all today.  If people were to know more of the back story of the Westboro Baptist Church, I believe a better understanding would be had by all.  Too many people like Sean Hannity and Anderson Cooper pervert the true message and distort the conversation. We may have fundamental differences when it comes to theology, but I applaud you and your family for holding onto and exercising their fundamental rights.  When we lose the fundamental rights that belong to each of us, we lose our country for good.  As Voltaire said "I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

With your permission, I would like the permission to write again after the SNYDER vs. PHELPS is handed down.

God bless you and your family in their continued efforts.

Charles,

You have permission to write anytime you like! And if the topic is something that others have better knowledge on, I’ll pass it along to make sure you have the most complete answer possible.

The Lord God of Eternity set up this constitutional republic in its infancy knowing that when this nation would no longer endure sound scriptural doctrine, His servants on the ground were going to need certain tools in place to allow them to fulfill their duty to Him and to their fellow man.

That non-delegable duty is to warn your neighbors that their proud sins are bringing their destruction upon themselves (harbingers of that national and then eternal destruction are your individual dead soldiers).

The tools that God set in place are the First Amendment (the rights to free speech, assembly, religion, press, petitioning our government for a redress of grievances), the many law enforcement officers that HAVE to take an oath to uphold the constitution faithfully on the streets, the Judges who are suppose to throw out any bogus lawsuits that defy the Constitution, and the legislatures who are entrusted to make solid laws that do not oppose the Constitution.

The latter three listed in that group have failed this little church time and again. If not for our God directing and keeping our steps (and keeping the hearts of the officers, judges, and legislators) – we would have been run off long ago, from the sheer WRONGNESS of what they do against God, us and their own laws and interests. He is (and we are) determined to make this nation drink from the cup of God’s fury – so we always find ourselves allowed to keep moving.

That First Amendment is there for THAT speech – the speech that nobody wants to hear. We believe SCOTUS knows that and is going to uphold the clear law of the land in the Snyder v Phelps case.

Oh! We took a vote: it was refreshing and nice talking to you, too!
