Field Report from Manitowoc, Wisconsin

October 23, 2010

A 6-pack from WBC traveled to Manitowoc, Wisconsin on October 23, 2010, to publish truth outside a dead soldier’s memorial service – the first such since SCOTUS arguments.  Wisconsin has a 500-foot law.  That means where we stood in a city park was closer to Lake Michigan than the high school where the afternoon-long service was held.  Not to worry though; plenty of people walked that 500-foot plus distance to come and look over our signs and react.  Clearly, 500 feet did not satisfy them.  Truth were told, 500 miles doesn’t satisfy them.  Oh, that we could just find the elusive line!

Here’s a perfect description of the people of Manitowoc, the people of Wisconsin and, the people of doomed America:

. . . [N]o man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done?  Every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle.  Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the Lord.  How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the Lord is with us?  Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.  The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them?  [Jeremiah 8:6-9]

Bright-colored signs proclaiming “Thank God for Dead Soldiers”, “America is Doomed”, “God is your Enemy”, etc. all look so much nicer and louder on the banks of Lake Michigan.
