God Makes You Write

Extremely sorry. I got busy last weekend, and forgot to let you know I wouldn’t be able to do the interview. Apparently our newspaper has some rule about not doing stories on the Westboro Baptist Church.

However, there is a plan for a counter-protest for the Kansas Union protest, and I was wondering if I could do just a quick 3-4 minute phone interview to get comments from someone planning to be at the protest. I know the WBC is counter-protested often, so nothing should be a shock, but I would like to hear what someone thinks. Let me know if that can be arranged, and I can do the phone interview at anytime. Either just have someone call me when they have time, or we can set up a time here.

Thanks again for your help.

University Daily Kansan

Dear Zach –

Just walk right up and talk with them. Where/when were we supposed to talk?

There has been such a flood of media over the Supreme Court and the whole worship the dead military mutts, etc., that I lose track of things and we had to spend a day with News Week and a day with the AP. :)

Did you say there is a rule at the University Daily Kansan? Amazing. How does that work with the whole ethics thing I wonder? Don’t worry, they don’t have a choice, when God puts the matter before them, they will write.

That is how our God rolls! Bill O’Reilly also had a rule that he would never speak of WBC. Yikes! He can’t get over it – 20 minutes of each of his programs for the last 10 days has been WBC. The Topeka Capitol Journal said they would never mention Fred Phelps again till his obituary, but he and WBC are now their #1 news item. How vain are the rantings of the rebels and their notions of what they will and will not do. They do greatly err not knowing the power of God! That silly paper has no purpose to exist except to write about WBC – just keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks!
