Amarillo: Ye Stiffnecked And Uncircumcised In Heart And Ears, Ye Do Always Resist The Holy Ghost: As Your Fathers Did, So Do Ye (Acts 7:51)

Dear editor,

Regarding the letter about our funeral picketing, it’s bad enough parents, preachers, teachers, and leaders have sent these young men to the battlefield without a moral compass, after enraging God with proud unrelenting sin.  (All of it; not just homosexuality and same-sex marriage; also fornication, adultery, murder, greed and idolatry.)

Then you make it worse by turning their funerals into patriotic and political pep rallies.  Media, politicians, military, veterans, citizens, and lying whore false prophets pile up outside of these funerals, shedding self-centered crocodile tears, mugging for the cameras, and flapping their big mouths and impotent flags.  You know us standing a thousand feet away and leaving before the funeral starts doesn’t disrupt squat!

Stop sinning, and they’ll stop dying!  There is no other fix.

You’ve declared war on the courts of this land because you have no more respect for the laws of man than you do for the laws of God.

It’s too late for the dead soldier.  It will soon be too late for this nation.  Your doom is imminent.  You should have obeyed.  Now it’s too late.

Answering:

Letter: Have they no shame?

Opinion
One of our Marines dies helping to protect our many freedoms.

The family gathers for his funeral along with Westboro Baptist Church leader Fred Phelps and their anti-gay protesters.

They came not to honor this Marine and his family, but to protest, a freedom he died protecting. The family is then slammed with the appeals court cost in excess of $16,000. Is this really the way we do things in America these days?

I am overcome with sorrow for the family, and anger with the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. How could you?

Can we not let this family recover as best they can with their faith in America intact.

My prayers go out to this family in their grief. What is happening to our country?
