Psalm 27:4: “One Thing Have I Desired Of The LORD, That Will I Seek After; That I May Dwell In The House Of The LORD All The Days Of My Life, To Behold The Beauty Of The LORD, And To Enquire In His Temple.”

When will today’s (the 24′th) sermon be online? Have you ever considered broadcasting it live? It’s an incredible waste of time and probably pisses off God more to go to a church around these parts, it would be really neat to be able to able to “attend” Pastor Phelp’s services online!

Your friend,

Jon

Dear Jon –

The imminent return of our Lord is at hand.  If you want to attend, GOOD IDEA!!  We do that with the butts in seats plan.  THAT is how this bride is preparing herself.  If you no do that, you no attend!  We don’t play with the words.  We attend for rizzle as they say!

Thanks for writing.

The time is so very, very short!!  Here it is Jon:

Psalm 27:4  One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

There is no such thing as serving the Lord over the internet.  PERIOD!  I would recommend a watch of this: http://www.signmovies.net/videos/news/index.html click on the Come Out From Her video and hear the words for you at this hour.

Thanks for writing.

Thanks for writing,

Do you take new members? While reading your site and the PDFs, I got the impression yours was a close-knit family church. Also, through my various studies, it seems accurate to say churches should be small (to hold discipline.) It’s fairly obvious that the vast majority of churches aren’t real houses of the Lord, but just cash generating businesses. So if a person were looking to attend a real church, what is their option? I’m not qualified to start my own church obviously, and I don’t know anyone as knowledgeable as your congregation (particularly Pastor Phelps) to call upon.

So are the majority just “screwed” (pardon my vernacular?)

I suppose to clarify, everyone in the world who wants to be a true Christian cannot attend the Westboro Baptist Church (as then your church would become the “mega-church” you speak against.) So if hypothetically you found yourself not a member of your current church and lived someone else, what would you do?

I see all the signs you mention every day. I actually was fired from [name of employer ommited for this publication] for speaking out against it (though I completely admit, ashamedly that I am not as vocal as yourself.) I am trying very hard (with the help of your site, as well) to educate myself. But I digress.

I appreciate your response and the scripture you quoted is particularly apt. But is the WBC the only “temple to enquire in” left?

Jon

Dear Jon –

That is a good restatement of the current landscape in part, so I will answer your questions and help you with your error.

First, anyone in this world in these last hours of the last days of all that has a sincere interest in serving God and who looks for the coming of our Lord is welcome as the flowers in springtime.  It is NOT true that every person at WBC is related.  Many of us are.  As the time passes and the rebels are exercised out of here, that number gets smaller – smaller on both counts.  It is a work of our God and it is most amazing.  You need to recall that in the days of Noah, 8 went onto the ark and if you have managed to listen to yesterday’s sermon, you will be crystal clear that at least one of them had no grace and was not a servant of God.

As for your statement that the vast majority are just screwed.  Well – YES.  This generation failed to teach their children and they propped up lying false prophets so that they might be permitted to pay for the message they want.  This is the end of that folly.

God has removed the preachers.  That is a great curse.  However, for the soul that seeks after God, there is no place to hard to get to.  We have a family here that pulled up their house and moved here from Florida.  They did it because they know that the Lord is coming and they KNOW that there is a preacher here and a church here and that God dwells with us, pursuant to his promise.  See John 14 – 17 – a sermon and prayer – and note the words – if you OBEY God and Christ will go to you and make their abode with you.  So they saw that this was a work of God and they GET HERE with no words.

I love that!!  It makes me so thankful that this issue was never before me, this is where my God put me from my birth.  I had nothing to do with that.  But I know that family.  I KNOW that if you have any urgency about you, words will NOT DO.  That’s what I know.  I know that verse that I sent you was what the dad in that house clung to.  That verse is what my dad clung to.  I know the goodness of that verse.  I am so very thankful EVERY DAY that we have a pastor.  I know the value of that.  I know that if we are obedient, our God keeps us, and I KNOW that if we are not, our God will take it all away so very fast it will make our stupid heads spin.  So being screwed or not is NOT THE ISSUE.  OBEY.  That is the issue.  Fluffy analysis is NOT your job.  OBEY – that is your job.

If WBC is the only place left.  WBC is the only place left.  Say that about 10,000 times and put a LOT of attitude.  Work it from every angle and use inflections in your voice that sound shocked or mocking or scoffing or incredulous, whatever works, but at the end of that exercise.  WBC is the only place that  you know of.  It is the only place I know of.  I will dwell there as long as my God, in his mercy will permit such!!

The Scripture says:  BE YE THANKFUL!!!

Thanks!
