Take The Sign Already And Picket The High School

Dear WBC,

Hi I am from [anywhere in the united states] and am moving to Topeka, Kansas to possibly join the WBC. I have been to numerous churches but I am not happy because none speak the truth about the bible. They preach evil and raise their kids for the devil, it makes me sick. Whenever I speak up, I am made out to be crazy. Whenever I turn to help a fellow neighbor they reject me. I cant do this anymore and I need help from you! Please contact me. By the way, my son use to attend [everywhere in the united states] High School. I pulled him out because of the lost staff as well as their classmates. The staff discourages praying in school and teach students that there is no God. A picket is necessary to show that they need to fear God. Please picket and email me back.

Dear citizen of everywhere, u.s.a.:

Thank you for your e-mail. I am one of the members of WBC. My wife and I went to public schools and our four children went to public schools. We have dozens of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who attend public schools. We find our experiences in public school similar as you describe at Mehlville High School; there is no fear of God before their eyes. Worse, they provoke the children under their care to wrath. Therefore, I wouldn’t/couldn’t imagine a scenario where any school official could frame up a prayer to God which would be anything but gibberish and blasphemy. We do not entrust our children’s religious education, instruction and learning to uncircumcised philistines, to borrow a good Bible metaphor. Through vigilence we help our children be excluded from all school-sponsored religious-related instruction and activity of which the public schools are rampant, especially any pretense at prayer. On the other hand, those of our children who wish to pray, depending on a reasonable time, place and manner (either alone or with their fellow siblings or cousins), are free to pray.  On those occasions where those policies are not strictly followed by public school officials we either threaten litigation or pursue it against the local public school system; because the First Amendment mandates these standards. The result of training of these public officials—mostly by and through our efforts—there is a way to function within the public school without doing violence to our freedom of conscience.

We also picket their high school on a regular basis. We have made picket signs with Gospel messages and stand on public property proximate in time and location when they are coming and going so that the heathen children and staff know what our children (who join us during the time class is not in session when the pickets are held) are taught to believe.  We encourage all persons who fear the Lord to do the same in this crooked and perverse generation.  The resources of time and materials are at your fingertips.

We have public services at 12:00 noon on Sundays and you are welcome to attend. In the meantime, if you have questions, please feel free to write.
