You KNOW God Did NOT Tell You To Do Your Goofy Christmas Pagen Idolotrous Feasting - He Despises Your Feast Days

Shirley: What is the quote in the Bible that says (As I remember) "I will not honor your man made traditions/holidays" (I’m paraphrasing this by memory)

I’m doing a little blogging/preaching about the tradition of Christmas.

Bill

Hi, Bill -

There are several really good places – how about some of this:

Jeremiah 10:1   Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
2  Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3  For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4  They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
5  They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
6  Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.
7  Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
8  But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
9  Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men.
10  But the LORD is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
11  Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12  He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13  When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
14  Every man is brutish in his knowledge: every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.
15  They are vanity, and the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.
16  The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his name.

All of that passage has excellent words about the sovereignty of God and his glory and might and the vanity of the traditions of man, but you can pick out what you like!  Here are some more words - from Christ:

Mt 15:9  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mr 7:7  Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Here are some other places that touch on our duty to obey the written word and NOT the traditions and commandments of men and how God feels about their disobedience and then coming in and having feast days and so forth.  All good stuff when put together!

Amos 5:21   I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.
22  Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.  This expressly says that God does not hear the prayers of the wicked and disobedient!  NOBODY TOLD THEM TO DO ALL THIS GOOFY CHRISTMAS CRAP!!
23  Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.  Don’t do this, but instead, do this:
24  But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.  This speaks expressly to their disobedience to the written word and commandments of God!
25  Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?  He reminds them of their earlier punishment when they tempted God and were left 40 years to wander while every one of them from 20 years old and upward died for their disobedience!
26  But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.  These were the false religious systems (two of them anyway) of the heathen nations around about them and they took them up part and parcel and began to serve these false gods.  That Moloch was an EVIL thing – they actually offer their children as sacrifices – it was a literal offering – and it was done in the valley of Hinoam and there was a constant loud drum beat – it was called Tophet – which means noisy den – it is the word from which we get the name Topeka – and it was a noisy den because they had to drown out the cries of the children they were murdering!  Those goofy Children of Israel were doing this crap!!  Just like this nation eats her children in MANY other ways!  AND – to understand how much God HATES that conduct – you must read the first 5 verses of Leviticus 20 – it was the death penalty for them and if you cover for them or don’t kill them under the law – it was the death penalty for you!  OH – and it that word Tophet means hell!   I live in hell, Topeka (Tophet), Kansas – no accident in all these words!   :p

To•phet
1. a place in the valley of Hinnom, near Jerusalem, where, contrary to the law, children were offered as sacrifices, esp. to Moloch. It was later used as a dumping ground for refuse.
2. the place of punishment for the wicked after death; hell.
3. some place, condition, etc., likened to hell.

27  Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

Col 2:22  Which all are to perish with the using; ) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

1Ti 1:3  As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

And here is one other good thought to add from Christ:

Isa 29:13  Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
Mt 15:8  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mr 7:6  He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

I like those three verses – Isaiah prophesied of this – Christ spoke of it and then he drew it all together in Mark 7:6.

And finally – we are instructed three times – NOT to add to nor take away from any of the Bible!  At the beginning, in the middle and at the end – the last chapter of the last book of the Bible.

Revelation 22:19  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20   He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Also in Proverbs and in Deuteronomy!

Thanks!  I hope this is what you are looking for!

By The Foolishness Of Preaching Them That Believe Are Saved - That's TRUE Preaching, NOT A Lying False Prophet You Prop Up To Satisfy You!

How do you get saved like you guys? And how do you make to heaven? Is there
I can learn this?

Thank you in advance for your time

Keith

Dear Keith -

Three good questions - and you are NOT the first to ask - check out the answers from the scriptures.

How do you get saved like you guys?

Acts 16:25   And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
26  And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
27  And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
28  But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.
29  Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30  And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
32  And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.
33  And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.
34  And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

There are a LOT of good words here and they are FULL of meaning!  Are you sincere in your question?  They told him what the scripture says and this sincere man with his house listened to the words, and somehow, that man understood the VITAL importance of the issue of HOW DO YOU TREAT THE PEOPLE OF GOD?  The servants of God – the elect of God – how do you treat them?  LOOK what he did – he washed their stripes, and he was baptized at their hand!!  HE AND ALL HIS HOUSE – and they did not wait or fool around about the matter!!  Then they fed them!!  Read Matthew 25:31-46 – and you will understand that what you do to the people of God is WHAT YOU DO TO GOD!!  Good stuff!

How do you make it to heaven?

Begin here:  Mark 12:28   And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
32  And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
33  And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34  And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Add this:  John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

And this:  Jer 2:13  For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Jer 17:13  O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

John 4:7  There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.
8  (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.)
9  Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
11  The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?
12  Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
13  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14  But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 7:37   In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38  He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

As to your last question:  Is there any way to learn this?

I know of only one place to learn all this with the help of the Holy Spirit.  The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ!  You can call us the Candlestick University!  Our text is the Holy Bible!

Begin here with these three verses about preaching and then look at all these words about preaching!  The preaching had better be from a preacher sent by God – in truth – and NOT the lying false prophets that this nation has littered her landscape with:

Ro 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Ro 10:15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
1Co 1:21  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Ro 15:19  Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
Ro 15:20  Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:

1Co 1:17  For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

1Co 9:16  For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

1Co 9:27  But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1Co 15:1  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
1Co 15:2  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
1Co 15:11  Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.
1Co 15:12  Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:14  And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
2Co 1:19  For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
2Co 2:12  Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
2Co 4:5  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.
2Co 10:14  For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
2Co 10:16  To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand.
2Co 11:4  For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
2Co 11:7  Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
Ga 1:8  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Ga 1:9  As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Thanks for asking!
