What Part Of NO WEAPON THAT IS FORMED AGAINST US SHALL PROSPER Do You Not Understand?

How does it feel to know that millions of people want you dead?

Devon

Dear Tweedle Dumb -

It makes me SO happy!  And stop lying – it’s billions who hate us, NOT measly millions.  Sadly (NOT), we are not in your filthy, rebellious hands to save or to destroy!  What part of NO weapon that is formed against us shall prosper do you not understand?

So – if you try to gear up the criminal iron fist of the government – IT WILL FAIL!

If you try to gear up the civil iron fist of the government – IT WILL FAIL!

If you try to organize a hit squad against us (how funny is that image – brutish Doomed americans that can’t organize a trip to the out house organizing a hit squad – it’s more funny than some of that stuff that was on that Crash movie I watched last night) – IT WILL FAIL!

If you try to get the witches to cast some spells on us (don’t laugh, freak – some of those witch bitches drove by our picket one day and told us that we have NO idea how many of those witches are casting spells on us - we just told them that part of the blessing from our God is that NO divination will prosper against us, so put away your rat tails and pig entrails and have a nap, then get those warts removed from your pointy nose   :D  ) – IT WILL FAIL!

If you try to get the Chaneys to have a hunting accident in our neighborhood – IT WILL FAIL!

If you try to get the military mutts to come out and beat us up – IT WILL FAIL!

If you try to get the media mutts to use harsh language and demonize, vilify and marginalize us – IT WILL FAIL!

Shall I continue, or are you getting the point?

Here are some passages for your doltish, brutish self:

Nu 23:23  Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

Psalm 18:1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.
2  The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3  I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4  The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.
5  The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.
6  In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
7  Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.
8  There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.
9  He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.
10  And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
11  He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
12  At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.
13  The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.
14  Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
15  Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
16  He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.
17  He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
18  They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
19  He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
20   The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
21  For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22  For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
23  I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
24  Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
25  With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
26  With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
27  For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.
28  For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.
29   For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30  As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
31  For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
32  It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
33  He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet, and setteth me upon my high places.
34  He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
35  Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.
36  Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.
37  I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.
38  I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.
39  For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.
40  Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.
41  They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.
42  Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
43  Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.
44  As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.
45  The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.
46  The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.
47  It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.
48  He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.
49  Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
50  Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.

Isa 54:17  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Luke 6:22  Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.
23  Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Dear Pastor Phelps,

As a homosexual whom you have picketed in the past, please accept my $100 donation to help with your defense as you appeal the U.S. District Court of Maryland’s decision against you.  [Ed:  It’s hard to be anything but embarrassed for Mr. Thang when he doesn’t even offer up his weekly floo-floo coffee budget - awkward!    ]  I’ve written a column about establishing a defense fund for you and your church that will appear in an upcoming issue of OUT magazine. I hope other homosexuals will be persuaded to help with the cause.

You and your family do a valuable service for homosexuals around the world with your protests, bringing the hatred and persecution of gay men and women into the public spotlight. Too often, discrimination against homosexuals is glossed over by homophobes hiding behind words like “tolerance” and “traditional values.” It’s people like you who are brave enough to state your true opinions loudly and clearly that show the majority of kind and caring human beings what hatred truly looks like.

Perhaps unwittingly, you have become one of the most important gay activists of modern times, and I hope that my contribution to your cause will help defray some of the expenses you’ve incurred fighting the charges against you.  I’d like you and your family solvent enough to continue protesting homosexuals on the streets for many years to come. You’re even welcome to come picket me again! It’s been a while and would be nice to catch up. It’s cold in New York right now, but I’d be happy to provide hot chocolate. Just let me know how many people to expect. If the kids get too cold, they can stand in the vestibule – I’ll alert the doorman.

Please contact me if there’s any thing else I can do to help.

Sincerely,
Josh Kilmer-Purcell

Subject:  Your check #1147 in the amount of $100.00

Dear Mr. Kilmer-Purcell:

We are in receipt of your letter and check #1147 in the amount of $100.00.

Thank you for your offer to donate to WBC, and to encourage your perverse friends, all haters of God, and hated by God to establish a “Dephense Phund entitled Phags-4-Phelps”.  I notice that you do not hold on to excellent visions of freedom and notions of righteousness as a reason for your offer.  That’s too bad, and is a testimony to the condition of affairs in Doomed america.

It has been our long-standing policy that we do not ask for anything from anyone, and we will not take anything from anyone.  As such, please find enclosed your check #1147 that has been marked VOID.  Our God, who doeth all things well, supplies all our needs.  He owns everything, so we have need of nothing.  We have a basis for our position, and it is grounded in the scriptures.  Here are some examples, to wit:

Genesis 14:20  And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
21   And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.
22  And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
23  That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

II Samuel 24:24  And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

1 Chronicles 29:10   Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
11  Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12  Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.
13  Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
14  But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
15  For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
16  O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.
17  I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
18  O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
19  And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.

Psalm 50:7   Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
8  I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
9  I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
10  For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
11  I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
12  If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
13  Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14  Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

John 2:13  And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14  And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
15  And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
16  And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.
17  And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

Acts 8:18  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
19  Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20  But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.
21  Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22  Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.
23  For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
24  Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

I Corinthians 9:7  Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
8  Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
9  For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?
10  Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
11  If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
12  If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
13  Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
14  Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.
15   But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
16  For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
17  For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
18  What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
19   For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.

II Peter 2:3   And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

III John 3   For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4  I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
5  Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
6  Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
7  Because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.

AND, many more such words.

Thank you.

Oh, this is disappointing, Shirley, but I thank you for your response. And on Christmas Eve! I hope your entire family had a nice holiday.

I wish you all the best of luck with your appeals, for although you say you doubt me, I wished to contribute to your defense with the most excellent vision of righteousness. I really enjoying seeing you all in the media - you especially. I sincerely think you have a fantastic sense of humor with the media and interviewers, even though you know the subject is serious. The song parodies and the manner in which you pin prick journalistic pomposity remind me of my approach to my writing. You’ll do whatever is required to make people stop and think.

After reading your reply, I’m a little confused…is your refusal to accept my donation because I made the check out to Westboro Baptist Church? Because I’ll happily donate the same amount (and ask my readers to also contribute) to the Phelps Law Firm, since I noticed that you have in the past accepted payments for defense expenses from some government agencies. Or is your objection based upon the fact that I’m a private citizen?

Please let me know. While we probably disagree on desired end results, I’m sure that we both agree that the work you and your family do is vitally important, and I’d like to contribute.

Thanks again, and best wishes for a happy and productive 2008.

Sincerely,

Josh Kilmer-Purcell

Hi Josh –

Thanks for writing.

The media needs a LOT of pin pricking and other things – they are in so much trouble with the Lord their God!  This is a generation of people that have checked their brains at the door.  Making them think is a tall order.  ;)  Especially when God has given them over to delusions and confusion and has confounded them and they are clueless.  But I digress!

As for the contributions – you need to be clear about this because I don’t want you to think that we have two standards.

For all the reasons that are fleshed out in the scriptures that I sent you, we do not ask for or take anything from anyone with respect to our service to the Lord our God!  That is Westboro Baptist Church and her members.

Each member of WBC works.  That is how we support ourselves.  On two occasions, the working members of WBC had to bring their working skills to the table – that is, we have the vocation that was necessary to help WBC.  SO – WBC hired two of the Attorney members of WBC to represent us when the government had passed unconstitutional measures that we could not work around.  They created a situation whereby we could not actually stand on the streets and reach our target audience without unnecessary risk of arrest.  That violates the laws of this land.  So we hired attorneys who have our interest at heart.  They did not charge us anything.  However, because of the importance of First Amendment rights in this country, the law of this land is that if the government passes measures that impinge upon our First Amendment freedoms, that is such a gross misconduct on the part of the government that written into the law is a clause that if citizens have to sue the government to correct their misconduct, the government MUST pay attorney fees to the prevailing attorneys.

SO – when we won those two cases, the government had to pay our attorneys for their time.  They did NOT pay WBC ANYTHING.  We COULD have sued them for the infringement of our rights and the LAW of this land is that the very taking of our rights creates damages – that is – we would not have to prove damages – they are assumed.  We did NOT make such a claim – we sued in the most limited fashion that we could to accomplish our goal of preaching on the public rights of way in Doomed america.  When the government had to pay our attorneys for their time and expenses, our attorneys settled for less than half of the actual cost of their time and then they paid the full of the expenses, which of course of the smallest part of what they paid.

Again – they paid NOTHING to WBC.

I hope that was clear – but if not, feel free to ask again.

We just simply don’t take contributions, and those scriptures are excellent for instruction – you should just read them.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, and as for the outcome of all this.  When God has cursed a nation, bad things happen, and one of the first things to go really bad is justice!  It falls in the streets, and the judges are turned away backwards!  It is a harbinger of the coming destruction of this nation.  So we don’t expect much!  But what we know for sure is that our God is will, able and delights in deliver his people, so this will all come out just fine!

One final thought – don’t worry about us going away, until our testimony to this generation is complete, we will be on the landscape!  You can see that today, we are preaching to the whole world and the whole world is roundly rejecting the standards of God!  We were the #2 story in some big publication in China – what’s that about?   Big things are coming – america is Doomed!

Please tell your readers the words, and tell them we will be just fine, but please don’t ask them to give us money, we will just have to send it back.

Oh – and one more thing – we will be in NY when the Pope turns up in April, if not before – if you pin point some nice busy intersection in the neighborhood, we will try to picket there.

Finally, God hates Christmas – it is pagan idolatry and so we don’t have any part of that!  But we do love the days off from school, etc.

Thanks!

Your friend –

Shirley L Phelps-Roper
