While you may have a point about how they let their 16 year olds "sow their wild oats" - I cannot understand your other criticisms. The Amish have spent hundreds of years in this country never bending to the world, never giving in to secular America, properly SHUNNING all evil doers, never going to the military. It’s true they may have been quiet, but they have always lived the Gospel. I respect WBC a lot but I do not think you
are Biblical about this one. As for telephones – they use telephones JUST LIKE YOU, they simply refuse to allow technology to separate their families - don’t you have a common back yard? They have a common telephone, and a common computer. Don’t you use cars? They share cars within their family. Why should they be "consumers" buying personal cell phones for their own entertainment and convenience?

3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  – Focus for a moment on the WITHOUT NATURAL AFFECTION!!  What kind of monster would hide off their child from the realities of life – tuck them into a shell – then, turn them loose at the age of 16, when they first begin to climb fool’s hill, to “find their own way” and “sow their wild oats”!!  THEY HAVE NOT ONE BIT OF AUTHORITY FOR THAT!!  To the contrary, they have their duty spelled out for them again and again – READ Deuteronomy 6:1-9 – READ THE WORDS:

THAT is their duty to their children – and there are WAY more words about this subject of what the earth dwellers do to their children and how the Lord their God views that heinous activity!  UNDERSTAND THIS – that Rumspringa CRAP is a false god and they are going to hell for that!!  Here is what God says about their offering their children to that false god called lust and filth, demonstrating that they HATE their children!!  As you read this passage, understand that Molech was just another false god of the heathen where the Children of Israel lived – you can fill in any false god here, they are all the same!!

There are way too many words to cover it all here – but let me add one more thought about that before I leave this discussion about the children.  Check out this passage and then try to honestly answer this question:  Is there ANYTHING that those Amish bastards can do to more provoke their children to wrath than what they do in the name of Rumspringa?  WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!!?? 

Eph 6:4  And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

That verse says – INSTEAD of provoking them, bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord their God!!  WHERE IN THIS WORLD did they get the idea that it was okay to behave in that fashion??  The bunch of HATIN freaks!!

Back to 2 Timothy 3:4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6  For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.  What a perfect picture for the phony Amish!!  They will NEVER GET IT!!

I could go on and on here about those bastards – but here is the short – every single thing they do that is contrary to the plain written word of God is NOT fixed by their pretense of self-righteous withdrawing from the world!!  They have a duty to have a very conspicuous testimony for the Lord their God – they have a secret society that they hide in and that will redound to their everlasting shame and disgrace and an eternity in hell!! 

As for their horse and buggy schtick, remember this – there was a day when the buggy was the latest and newest technology this world had to offer – so WHY are they drawing the line there?  Further, that cell phone they have in case of emergencies is still a cell phone!  What a crock of nonsense!!  We are to use and not abuse the things this world has to offer, ALL in service to their God – GET EVERYONE A CELL PHONE.  We are to do all things in moderation and we are to use what this world has in service to our God!!  In short – that internet has NO purpose for existing except for the servants of God to preach to a rebellious generation of perverts that are sprinting to their destruction!  If you are not engaged in that activity, you testify against yourself by that fact!!  The cell phone they hide in the corner and “share” should be used early and often to preach to this generation!!  The TV should be used first and foremost to gather knowledge about what is happening in the world around you so that you have the capacity to portion out the Word of God in explaining what it means to this generation!!  After that, use it for a little down time and turn it off!! 

Every little Amish child should be equipped with a thorough working knowledge of the scriptures so that they can speak with the enemies of God in the places where business is transacted!  You better get hold of Psalm 127 – digest and search out EVERY SINGLE WORD – it is all pregnant with excellent meaning and doctrine about your children and what you should be doing with them, for them and to them!!  Rumspringa AIN’T IT!!!
