Nothing says “the resurrection of Jesus” like Easter egg hunts and the Easter bunny.
Today we have millions of idolatrous people flocking to churches for that pagan holiday called “Easter” where they’ll engage in their idolatry, all in the name of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because nothing says “the resurrection of Jesus” like Easter egg hunts and the Easter bunny. You know, over 90 million chocolate Easter bunnies are made each year. I would encourage everyone watching this to take some time to research the pagan, idolatrous origins of the Easter holiday. Whenever you have idolatry widely accepted and practiced, you have sodomy widely accepted and practiced. You can read about that in Romans 1:
“When they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves…For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.” (Romans 1:21-24, 26-27).
It’s amazing to behold the speed with which wicked human beings can degenerate into such a mess. And it’s amazing to see how quickly the supposed houses of God and religious leaders will depart from the scriptures to join hand in hand with those sins. One of these wicked leaders, Robert Schuller, died a few days ago. Just a few years before his death, his Crystal Cathedral church tried to get the members of the church choir to sign a weakly-worded covenant saying that they would follow the Bible. It said “I understand that in an era where images of family relationship and personal sexuality are often confused, Crystal Cathedral Ministries believes that it is important to teach and model the biblical view. I understand that Crystal Cathedral Ministries teaches that sexual intimacy is intended by God to only be within the bonds of marriage, between one man and one woman.” Everyone began calling it an “anti-gay covenant” and Schuller immediately said he knew nothing about it, and would never have approved it. “I have a reputation worldwide of being tolerant of all people and their views,” he said. “I’m too well-educated to criticize a certain religion or group of people for what they believe in. It’s called freedom.” Yes, very well-educated. “Professing themselves to be wise they became fools.” And now he’s in hell.
Another example we’ve seen recently is the Presbyterian Church (USA) coming out in support of fag marriage. The church that was founded by the Reformer John Knox is now allowing men to marry men and women to marry women. They’ve joined the Episcopal Church, the United Church of Christ, the Quakers, the Unitarian Universalists, the Reform and Conservative movements in Judaism, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. It won’t be long and the vast majority of these so-called Christian denominations will be embracing fag marriage, because they embrace idolatry.
Let’s look at a few verses. “For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.” (1 Kings 11:4). Solomon brought idolatry into Israel. A few short years later, when his son Rehoboam was king of Judah, “Judah did evil in the sight of the LORD, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done. For they also built them high places, and images, and groves, on every high hill, and under every green tree. And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.” (1 Kings 14:22-24). Not long after the idolatry appeared, the sodomites appeared. They were removed from the land in the times of Asa and Jehoshaphat, because if a nation is going to get right with God, the first thing they need to do is take away the sodomites out of the land: “And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father. And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.” (1 Kings 15:11-12).
But by the time king Josiah was reigning, the sodomites were back in full force, in full control of the house of God. They had built houses right next to, or possibly even built rooms in, the temple so they could have easy access. Their idolatrous practices and their sodomy went hand in hand. Josiah, seeing the mortal danger, “brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.” (2 Kings 23:7). But this time it was too late for the nation to get right with God. They had had too many chances, and they had gone too far. “Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal. And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there.” (2 Kings 23:26-27). It wasn’t long after and Judah was destroyed.
It is very likely that this nation and this world is in that state right now, to wit, it is too late. “For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.” (Hebrews 10:37). He will come “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (2 Thessalonians 1:8).
