A Nine-Year-Old Accidentally Ran Over A Ten-Year-Old. Was That God’s Plan?

Hi WBC,

Don’t know if my town made the America news or news, I can’t watch the news nowadays with ISIS on it, but in Rosco as we call it, two boys, a 9 and 10 year old, brothers, staying with their grandparents for whatever reasons, snuck outside and down the street and broke into a car repair place and stole the keys to a car and went off driving in town! Sounds kinda funny when you think about, something you see in tv, but then after the cops brought them home, they did it again! And the 9 year old accidentally ran over the 10 year old and he was taken to the hospital-that’s when it stopped being funny. No one knows how the child is doing but the cops were over at the house today. People say the kids have a neurological disorder, so do I but I never went joy riding and if I went for a walk to the neighbors at 9 and 10 without permission I wouldn’t be able to sit comfortably for a week when I got home, I wouldn’t be doing it a second time. But that was in 1991/92 discipline is different nowadays. Anyhow, is this all God’s plan for the boys? For Rosco? What in the world? I have more colorful words but they don’t belong in the same e-mail with God.

Dear friend –

Most of that is blah, blah, sad, shameful, sorrowful, blah. See what the prophet said:  Jeremiah 5:31  The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Those children should be raised in the nurture and admonition of the Lord their God.  When that is not on the table, and the children are left to themselves, they in fact, bring their mother to shame.  Proverbs 29:15  The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.

The answer to your question is YES! Not one hair of their head fell to the ground without direct order of the Lord their God.  Not one breath was breathed except by order of the King!  So what words of God can be applied to this situation, whereby a nation has gone away backwards and REFUSE to teach their children line upon line and precept upon precept, the WHOLE counsel of God?

I suggest this would be a good starting place:

Hosea 9:7 ¶  The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred.

8  The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.

9  They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah: therefore he will remember their iniquity, he will visit their sins.

10  I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: but they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto that shame; and their abominations were according as they loved.

11 ¶  As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.

12  Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

13  Ephraim, as I saw Tyrus, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer.

14  Give them, O LORD: what wilt thou give? give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

15  All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

16  Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

17  My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

(Please go directly to Judges 19, 20 and 21 – read those three chapters to understand Hosea 9:9 – “they have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah.”)

That judgment of God is good for ALL people in ALL ages.  There is ONE standard of God and it will not change.

Time would fail to tell you all the passages, but be crystal clear, those children had an appointed lot, and God Almighty set the bounds of their habitation in this earth.

Acts 17:24  God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25  Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26  And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation.

From eternity past, and every second of their existence in this earth was according to the appointment of the Sovereign of ALL!  The Judge of all, who is ever just!

Genesis 18:25  That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

2 Timothy 4:8  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Hebrews 12:22  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

23  To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

24  And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

27  And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28  Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

29  For our God is a consuming fire.

Thanks for writing.
