Apocalypse!   What a wonderfully interesting word.   It’s received broad-spectrum media usage twice in the past week:   First, when scientists declared that we’re three minutes to the proverbial witching hour — when apocalypse will come upon the inhabitants of the earth — because we’re just not fluffy-well doing enough to stop global warming.   Second, when a family in Springville, Utah was discovered to have all died due to “a concern about a pending apocalypse.”

Spectacular work of God in bringing this generation to the table for a dose of consideration of this imminent reality that occupies one of the greatest books of Holy Scripture; The Revelation.   “Apocalypse”, of course, is just an anglicized treatment of the Greek word “Apokalupsis”, meaning to “be revealed”.   The only reason this God-rejecting generation uses this word “Apocalypse” to connote an impending tragic event is because Holy Scripture has seeped into the conscience of every one of you such that the events attending Christ’s Revelation as the Son of God — his coming out party, so to speak — are going to be so horrific as to represent the most extreme concepts you can fathom regarding death and destruction.

This glorious thought is captured beautifully in the words of the prophet Amos:

“Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?” [Amos 5:18-20]

Wait!   I thought God loved everybody!   I thought good old Jesus was only about love and compassion and mercy and forgiveness!   I thought mankind had the ability to exercise his free will and gain heaven for himself, by just giving Christ a little wink at the old Pearly Gates and saying:   “I like you man.   We’re good now, right?”

In truth, neither the uber-clever scientists, scrambling to steal God’s glory and give it to carbon emissions, nor the clueless nitwits who think they can avoid the Day of the Lord — or His Revelation (Apocalypse) — by offing themselves with some chemical cocktail, have any proper view of what that glorious event actually has in store for them.   That’s because they have not spent any time in the vineyard, learning what glorious things grow therein.   You know it is written in that prophetic tome:

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” [Revelation 1:3]

Only the blessed read it … only the blessed hear the words … and certainly only the blessed keep those things which are written therein.   Those who do not, quite simply, are not among the blessed.

One of the greatest pieces of Holy Scripture ever written in decimation of the Satanic lie of “free will” is found in this glorious prophecy named “The Apocalypse”.   The doctrine of “free will” … first promulgated in the Garden of Eden — when His Majesty the Devil deceived Eve by telling her that she had power to make herself as God by eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil — is the deadliest of all human diseases.

This disease permeates every spiritual cell with the poison of deceit, of pride, of covetousness (which is idolatry).   It causes every soul to swear enmity against the Sovereignty of Him that brought life — and take up arms to defeat your Creator and raze His throne from the third heaven.

But before long — very probably while this most-audacious generation still lives — a scene will come into view within the close province of God’s eternal throne.   The description of that scene brings effectual force to these words spoken by the Psalmist:

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” [Psalms 46:10]

As I draw forth the words in their dramatic — nay traumatic — force, I want you to envision the dress-donned imbecile who has brought the “free will” lie into your bosom and compelled it to percolate there for the entirety of your sad, sin-sickened existence.   I challenge you to find him there … and show me his (or, God forbid, her) stature or place in the conversation.   Check out this scene:

“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.   And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.” [Revelation 5:1-3]

This book … without a credible doubt in human knowledge … is the book that articulates what souls in the human experiment will be granted entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven.   Until it is opened, and the rights secured therein to redemption and the endless glories of heaven granted to the happy objects of those gifts, it is of NO VALUE!   This is the book of redemption!

If you have a will that is free to grant yourself entrance to heaven — by any power within the human creature whatsoever; power of faith or otherwise — then now is the one and only time for you to step up!   Are you a man in heaven who seeks to secure the permanency of your estate?   Are you a man in the earth, who seeks to settle where you will spend an eternity?   Are you a man presently occupying hell “under the earth”, who seeks desperately to change his residence for the estates prepared for those in the book, like the rich man of Luke 17, to wit:

“And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” [Luke 17:24]

Now’s the time …   you deceived soul!   Where is the man?   Where is that free will to charge forth and take the book from the hand of God on His throne and commence detaching those seals and seizing upon the purchased possession?   If that man be in heaven, or in earth, or under the earth … and he have a free moral agency then he would of every certainty step up at THAT hour, in THAT place, to do THAT work!   But ohhh … what saith the Scripture?

“And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.” [Revelation 4:

You miserable, lie-poisoned, Satan-deceived, blind creature!   You cannot even so much as look at the contents of that book.   It’s sealed up to you and   your worthless free will!   That book is closed to every creature … and is reserved only for that blessed Lamb of God whose blood was spilled for those who were given him before the foundation of the world!   The Apocalypse, properly known and loved only by the humble servants of God, will not be anything but darkness for you lovers of the Satanic doctrine of free will.   How glorious it will be when you will everyone be silent in pathetic, eternal weakness.   Amen.
