As it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:27-28.

Here are some questions I’d like to ask just so I can gain more of an insight into the church:

1. Something I’ve pointed out when studying the westboro baptist church is although people may perceive you to be portraying hateful messages through the Picketing etc, I’ve noticed that there is definitely an element of love also involved. Why do you think people label the church so negatively?

A) It’s not a popular doctrine to hear that the great majority of people born into this world will spend eternity in hell.

B) people tend to equivocate in their understanding of our message between the righteous hatred of God and the base, human passion of man’s hatred.

C) the men of the world generally define ‘love’ in terms of acceptance (of one another’s sin). The Bible defines love, at least in part, in terms of rebuke and warning one another about sin (see Lev. 19:17-18). This rebuke and warning, when coming from a few ‘zealots,’ rubs them the wrong way – especially when they get so much comfortable ‘acceptance’ from every other quarter of life.

2. Steve, I was very interested in your story. You visited the westboro baptist church as a film maker. What happened on the visit that made you decide that this was the right option for you?

Nothing happened during my visit. The Lord changed my heart – from a proud, arrogant, self-assured man of the world to a man who knows shame for his sin and has a reverent fear of God as the basis for his life and actions.

3. The church says that everything that happens comes directly from god, however the signs usually point to the destruction caused by god. What of the good things that have happened at the hands of god such as the natural beauty he has created in the form of wildlife or the resources he has given us such as food water and medicine?? Will you guys be making signs to show people the beauty god has created??

We thank God for all things, and encourage our neighbors to do the same. Our scriptural duty, however, is to preach this message: REPENT OR PERISH. It was the message preached by Christ, and it is the message we are commanded by Christ to preach. It doesn’t do a man any spiritual good, when he lives in a moral quagmire, to do anything other than deal with the quagmire. You wouldn’t tell a child who is standing in the middle of the street to thank God for water, penicillin and the color blue – you get them out of the middle of the street first. :)

4. What is the stance of the church on a couple who Is married but is unable to go forth and multiply as The Lord commands?

The womb business is the Lord’s business. Every man should take what he gets and be grateful.

5. Do you believe that the bible was written by people (Matthew, mark like and john) and that elements of it may not be applicable to all time?

Here’s the way the Bible puts it: For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. – 2Pet. 1:21 Men write stuff and say stuff all the time that God has put it in their hearts to write and say. If He created the whole universe and everything in it, He can certainly muster enough power to get His servants to say the right words.

6. What are the future plans of the church?

1. Fear God and keep his commandments. 2. Go into the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. 3. Minister unto his saints. 4. Raise our children in the nurture and admonition of The Lord. 5. Wait on the impending coming of The Lord in power and glory (occupy).
