Westboro Responds To The 306,000 Petitioners Who Want To Legally Dub Us A “Hate Group”

306,000 people have now signed the White House’s We the People digital petition to designate Westboro Baptist Church, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ as a hate group.

That petition has more signatures by far than any other of the nearly 200 petitions currently on the site.

Actually, this seems a little hateful to me, given that we are completely non-violent, and the only thing this church does is preach the words of God, but it is completely expected.

The Lord Jesus Christ himself says 10 times in the New Testament and it is scattered throughout the Bible that the world is going to hate you – no question – It is what good looks like.

The mold is that the world hates the things of God like it hated and persecuted Christ.  That enmity will never go away.

Here is what Christ says: Mark 13:13 and Mat. 10:22 – And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.

John 15:18 – If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you.

If the world does not hate you, you make Christ a liar. Listen to His words.

Mat. 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

This petition was started the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shootings because this Church dared to say the truth that God Almighty is actively punishing this nation with shooting after shooting after super Storm after wild fires and droughts and floods after financial crisis’ and all the rest for its evil sins.

Col 3:6 The wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

We pray like we are supposed to in the Lord’s Prayer in Luke 11 –  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

The Westboro Baptist Church makes no apologies for that shooting or any of these unpopular providences of God – The Lord’s will be done in the earth as it is in heaven.

Here is what God says in Deuteronomy 32: 22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. 23  I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them. 24  They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction:  25  The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs. 35  To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. 39 ¶  See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. 40  For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. 41  If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me. 42  I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

We are rejoicing and exceedingly glad for the 306,000 signatures and wonder why it isn’t 310 million.

Luke 6:22-23 – Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.  Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

Amen.
