Shall There Be A Mass Shooting In Newton, Connecticut, And The LORD Hath Not Done It? (Amos 3:6)

I watched your video of church members thanking God for the 10.9 million judgment. I’m wondering what your opinion of Jesus is, because I haven’t heard Him mentioned. As a Christian, He is my role model, and He stood over the city of Jerusalem and wept. I have never seen a Christian act gleeful over the prospect of people going to hell, but your church members do. What’s up with that?  1 Timothy 1:13-1:17

Dear Scooby snacks:

Hope this helps you understand the Bible standard of the recent events, which we cling to.

(I’m assuming that’s at least partially what you’re referencing).

“And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.” 2 Kings 2:23-24.

This is an example of God killing children – and where did those children learn to mock God’s standards and His prophets? Their parents taught them, of course – just like the parents in Connecticut and all around this evil nation today.

“Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?” Amos 3:6.

God was neither asleep nor on vacation when those children were killed, and they would be alive if He willed it such. God is omnipotent.

“The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.” Psalm 58:10-11.

We are reminded of God’s perfect judgment in the foretastes of His wrath. Children are often killed in scripture for the sins of their parents – e.g., for breaking their moral compasses.

Thanks for writing
