I just watched Louis Theroux. I was disappointed that he missed an opportunity to make the most obvious point of all: if God really is the vile narcissist that the (man-written) bible portrays him to be, why would anyone in their right mind consider such an arsehole worthy of respect, let alone worship?

A possible reason that Louis Theroux did not make your goofy point is because by the asking of your question, you reveal yourself to be one that would, in FACT, NEVER consider serving God in truth, let alone worshiping the ONLY One in this universe that has the power to cast you into hell for eternity. In that respect, you and Louis are Siamese Triplets, joined with your father the devil, at the brain.
That makes you an unimaginably sad and cursed creature. Further, your question demonstrates that you have some knowledge of the Bible. That makes you one that is sinning willfully after that you have received a knowledge of the truth, so you have nothing to look forward to except “a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation that SHALL devour you! (Hebrews 10:26-27). After that certain fearful looking for…you have hell, for eternity, where the worm dieth not and the fire is never quenched.
At WBC, we would that you would repent and worship and serve God and fear him and be in heaven, but we know that God’s will is going to be done in this earth, and THAT is our prayer and our comfort.
