Thank God for Global Warming!

In The Topeka Capital-Journal, (http://cjonline.com/opinion/2012-12-03/letter-topekans-blessed-have-westboro-prophets, 12/3/12) the faithful Pastor of Westboro Baptist Church, through an editorial writing, articulated on point a blessed and simple doctrine taught in the Word of God.  As expected, the raging criminals who speak for the zeitgeist of Topeka screeched like the tormented demons they are.  Praise God.

The doctrine deserves some more treatment, so that all the raging, God-hating mockers who dwell on the earth in these last, dark days can join their Satan-spawn siblings in Topeka in a chorus of blasphemy, like is prophesied in the book of Revelation like this:

And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. (Revelation 16:8-9)

Good stuff.

The doctrine is simple enough. There is written in prophecy that a day certain is coming wherein the earth and all its inhabitants will be utterly destroyed with fire.  Not a few of the inhabitants.  Not a whole bunch of the inhabitants.  All … of … them.

The earth itself will pass away, in fact … together with the heaven that contains it … and will be replaced with a new heaven and a new earth. (Revelation 21:1)  That, I believe I can safely say, is global warming on steroids!  Published just today, December 5, 2012, are the words of United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon warning: “Governments must speed up talks on a joint response to global warming, which is an existential challenge for the whole human race”.

Brother Ban … you’re a Bible-illiterate moron, talking to a world of Bible-illiterate morons. There is nothing you can do to stop global warming.  It is the tag this generation has hung on what Holy Scriptures told you all would come.  Listen to these words from Paul:

For the [whole creation] was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the [whole creation] itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. (Romans 8:20-23)

Did you catch that beautiful language?  The whole creation of God is put under the bondage of the vanity of human beings … filthy, rebellious, self-absorbed, self-worshipping, idolatrous, light-rejecting, sin-loving, diseased human beings.  The time identified in those blessed words is that time described as the “manifestation of the sons of God” (Romans 8:19), that time when Jesus Christ redeems His children and gives them their new bodies!

That time when, having been loosed from these bodies of our humiliation, we are translated into our spiritual bodies “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:52).

Yes!  At that moment two things will happen. God’s blessed servants at Westboro Baptist Church will, as our beloved Pastor wrote “quit themselves of Topeka, Kansas”, and then “Topeka Kansas [together with all the vile inhabitants of this sin-soaked earth] will be done forever.”

The whole creation — the earth and the heaven that encases it — will reach the crescendo of this global warming and burst into spontaneous flames.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter 3:10)

So while those on the earth who, “professing themselves to be wise, [have become] fools” (Romans 1:22), fret themselves over the nuances of the earth preparing herself for conflagration, we at Westboro Baptist Church read God’s word, trust it, and love it.  So, we say “thank God for global warming!”

Amen.
