Subject: God Is Dead ?
Hi, I am attending college and in my sociology of religion we have watched a film about your church and protesting. I only have one question – on one of your signs it says God is Dead- what do you mean? My personal views about your church mission, is I think we all have areas where we believe so strongly in that we are willing to go that extra mile- I do admired your zeal- may not agree with the protesting- > but I get why ya are doing.
Dear Sir or Madam, Being one of WBC’s sign makers, I can testify to the fact that I never made a sign bearing the words “God is Dead,” nor has anyone else in our church, and nor do we espouse such a heresy. Why, if we believed that, you would have never heard of WBC. What we do believe, is that there is one God who created the Universe and all things therein. He is by no means dead, nor will He be. He is immortal and eternal. We look to the return of Jesus Christ in power and glory soon, as the signs of His coming are multiplying. For example, fag marriage becoming enacted by law worldwide, as it was in the days of Noah, just before He destroyed that Antedeluvian world (Genesis 6-9, Luke 17:26-30). So, you must have the brethren of Christ mistaken for someone else. But since I have your attention, and in case you didn’t get the core message of our Church clear, here it is, briefly stated: Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13). And if you don’t repent, you will perish when you die, spending eternity in the Lake of Fire of Hell in exquisite torment (Luke 13:1-5; Revelation 14:9-11). Thanks for writing.
