Who Is Fred Phelps Voting For?

On one side of the presidential race you have a murdering, fag-loving antichrist Barack Obama; and on the other, you have a ridiculous caricature of “Christian” conservatism in Mitt Romney. So with the unsavory-ness of both presidential candidates, maybe you’re asking yourself, “I wonder whose side is Pastor Fred Phelps on? Who’s he going to vote for?”

It just so happens, Pastor Phelps answered this question on the Old School Baptist Hour radio broadcast back in October 20, 1996!

“I’m not on anybody’s side but God’s. I am not a politician. Gospel preachers are not politicians, social workers, arrangers, compromisers, deal makers. Gospel preachers come with an inflexible, irrefutable, unambiguous command or ultimatum from the great God Almighty who will come to judge the quick and the dead at His Appearing in His kingdom, to wit: ‘Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.’ (Perish means “go to Hell.”) Presidents, you know, go to Hell, like all other sinners that die in their sins. And it’s the job of the Gospel Preacher to apply what the Word of God says to the hot button issues and to the leading sinners. ‘Them that sin, rebuke before all, that others also may fear. I charge thee before God and the elect angels that thou observe these things without partiality and without hypocrisy,’ (1Timothy 5:20-21). We’re supposed to preach it, without fear or favor, to anybody and everybody.”
