Hey, Wisconsin! The First Amendment gives American citizens the right to believe and speak as their conscience dictates — Letter To The Editor

This is another letter to the editor written in response to a Wisconsin judge outrageously sentencing a pastor to two years in prison for preaching the Bible standard on disciplining a child.

Dear Editor,

Wisconsin’s motto is “Forward,” but “Froward” (perverse; contrary) is more truthful.

Wisconsin’s frowardness was displayed when a Dane County jury found a preacher guilty of conspiracy to commit child abuse for preaching what the Bible says about properly disciplining children. Hey, Wisconsin! God says, “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” (Proverbs 13:24) That standard won’t change, no matter how many God-hating jurors say otherwise.

Wisconsin’s frowardness was displayed when a profane judge sentenced that preacher to two years in prison for simply preaching what the Bible says. Hey, Wisconsin! The First Amendment gives American citizens the right to believe and speak as their conscience dictates – and no goofy judge or jury can abridge these rights.

God warned against Wisconsin’s idea of good child-rearing: “The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.” (Proverbs 29:15) Imprisoning a pastor for preaching Bible redounds to Wisconsin’s everlasting shame. Governor Walker should immediately pardon this preacher, victim of an anti-God, anti-American judge and jury.

Westboro Baptist Church will picket this judge and the state capitol to remind you: Wisconsin’s hatred of God’s standards doesn’t change them. Fear and obey Him.
