Let The Dead Bury The Dead

Hi WBC,

On some of your videos there were signs that say don’t worship the dead that seem to go hand in hand with your thank god for dead soldiers signs. I’m not trying to assume they go hand in hand it’s just observational. I was just wondering if you guys take the stance that all funerals are worshiping the dead or if you consider soldiers funerals to be worshiping the dead, since there is all that ceremony for the “Job well done” they did before they died. I hope this question makes sense and that you don’t think I’m trying to be rude or silly. Thank you ahead of time for any reply to my question I may get.

Yes, they are absolutely related. That soldier is dead and in that manner at the hand of an angry God for proud and rebellious sin. Those presumptuous sins are broadcasted in the media like some resume, sin having no meaning. They are adulterers (remarried persons), fornicators (multiple ‘partners’ and children from numerous partners), idolaters (worshipping and serving a filthy nation supportive of the abominable soul-damning, nation-destroying sodomite sin), murderers and liars. We thank God for that righteous recompense and judgment upon them because He has commanded us to be thankful in all things and for all things.

Jeremiah 16 explains exactly how the Sovereign Creator views the rebels when He cuts them off in their sin.

Jeremiah 16:4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. 5  For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies. 6  Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them: 7  Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother. 8  Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.

Worshipping any human is idolatrous and forbidden. This generation makes an occupation out doing just that, thereby calling God a liar. He said, “the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone… (Rev 21:8)”  but they say, “God loves everyone” and “God loves the sinner, hates the sin.”

Bury the dead, quietly. No worshipping them. No preaching impenitent sinners into heaven, soldiers or otherwise. Any soul who has indicia or fruit of being one of God’s Elect and they die, it is a day of great rejoicing and gladness, not mourning.

And this – Christ commands no fuss over rebel burials when He said, “…Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead (Mt 8:22).”

Thanks for writing!
