Hold That Fast Which Thou Hast, That No Man Take Thy Crown

Shirl & Rachel at Oscars

Hello,

I am interested in understanding a bit more about your family and its participation in the events of Westboro Baptist Church.

I watched a documentary on you called “Fall From Grace.” Although mostly painting a negative perspective of you all, it does provide a glimpse into your family life. It was interesting to see your children so involved with what you all do on a day to day basis.

I was just wondering a couple of things about your family:

A. What is “family” in your eyes? Do you consider them a gift from God to enjoy or are they servants of God to help you with your cause…or both? How do you view your children as opposed to the way that those in the world view their children.

B. Your children are obviously sold out to the cause of WBC and of their Christ. How do you guard them from the ever growing popularity of sin in the secular media (especially in movies and music), all the while allowing them to understand the world through their young eyes?

C. Suppose one of your children were to turn away from your message. How would you deal with that situation?

D. To those of us that are attempting to raise a God-fearing family in a sinful world, what advice can you offer us?

Thank you for considering these questions.

Philemon

Dear Philemon –

1. Family per the words of our Beloved are those that do the will of God! I suggest that you look to Psalm 127 and 128 for the rest of the goodness that is our little family! I assume you mean by that, my house. My husband and I and nine of our eleven children live here. There is great joy and happiness in this house and there is also a glorious energy that goes forth each and every day to serve our Great King! THAT is our appointment in this life! I would recommend a read of Psalm 149 for some more on the goodness of our appointed task! There are Gold Nuggets tucked in the scriptures and we mine for them daily!

2. That is an excellent question from the sidelines looking in! It is an amazing thing when you shut your goofy human mouth and just read the words of God and BELIEVE the promises of God, you find that the people, so blessed by God to believe, with a heart to know their God are the kindest people you will ever meet! The children are happy, well adjusted, excellent students. GOD alone keeps us in all our ways and that includes our children! See Psalm 127 and then get over onto YouTube where the rebels have filmed us, our children and every facet of our lives and see how those children look for yourselves and see how they present themselves uprightly before this last generation of all!

3. Better question! HOW DO we deal with that situation. Well, it looks like this: we rise of a morning and find that a child has come to years and decided that they will NOT suffer the reproaches of Christ and they will not suffer affliction with the people of God but will instead enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season, so they packed their stuff and left during the night. We do not turn aside to the left or the right, we BELIEVE God, Christ said that Satan sowed those tares among us, and when the time was right, they were removed!

1Jo 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

We look to the promises of our faithful God, to wit:

Matthew 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Re 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

I will not give over my crown for a rebel of any kind! I know that the child is in worse trouble than most of the rebels walking this earth, because they had great light and … well, no need to multiply words when God has addressed the matter, to wit:

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, 2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. 3 And this will we do, if God permit. 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

Our God is a consuming fire! That is some stark reality right there!

4. I recommend that you get your arms around the FACT that Christ is coming through those clouds shortly and he is coming for his bride and he is preparing that bride! She is his church! I say that you had better get crystal clear about what your duty is! No free floaters will be part of that bride! I don’t know where you are, but I recommend that you decide where the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in this generation is, and GET THERE with all haste! I have all these years not refused to tell those words to anyone. But I’m sayin…the fulfilling of the prophecies are coming on apace! The restitution of all things is at hand!

One of our kind-hearted guys, my eldest brother, Fred Phelps, Jr. did a video news that hits the mark! Here is a link… www.twitvid.com/NNXB6

Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Time is running OUT!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
