Love Thy Neighbor = Rebuke

Subject: God Hates

I am confused. I was reading through the blog site and I came across some very disturbing things. As I understand things, Christianity is about following the Lord Jesus Christ. We are called to be Christlike. Therefore, shouldn’t we love all people and treat all people with love. After all, Jesus said "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you." Luke 6:27-28. How then can the people responding to emails on your blog site respond in an unloving way. I realize that when someone believes that is untrue they need to be corrected for the scriptures also say "all scriptures is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16. But isn’t responding in a hateful way toward someone who is acting hatefully toward you in direct contradiction to the scriptures. I guess I am just wondering how the responses can be filled with hateful spite. One response ended with "the day of the Lord is upon you and WOE unto you!! YAY!!" The responder actually seems pleased at the destruction that will be visited on this world. How is this not hypocritical?

Hi, James –

You must get an understanding of God’s definition of "love" and "hate"

before you contend with His servants. We are not bound by your definitions.

A good place to start is Leviticus 19:17-18, where you will find the commandment to "love thy neighbor as thyself" – defined as "in anywise rebuke thy neighbor" and "not suffer sin upon thy neighbor" (stand by with your mouth shut as your neighbor sins his way to hell). Your failure to do so shows your hatred for your neighbor, according to God’s standards. Ergo, what YOU call hate is what GOD calls love; and, what you call "love" is what God calls "hate". It is not our problem that you are Bible-illiterate and we are not bound by your ignorance of God’s words.

On your getting your britches in a bunch over the "Yay!!" comment, again you show your complete ignorance of God and his people. Check out these sample verses on this point:

Ps. 58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

That’s what you see from God’s people

– rejoicing when we see HIS vengeance and see that He is a God that judgeth in the earth. YAY!!!

I suggest you shut your phoney mouth, get a Bible and ACTUALLY READ THE WORDS!! Then, OBEY your God, give glory to Him for the hour of His judgment is at hand!!

Thanks for writing!
