One main reason is the level of systemic corruption like this situation underscores.
2Peter 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
Those little children are 10 times better off in their current state than to continue to be raised in that hot mess of a nation where they will wind up in HELL anyway.
A Sovereign God did that, so hush, fear and obey Him.
