GodSmack: Filthy Rags

Early this morning, less than a mile into my walk, there lay the exact picture of the GodSmack!! churning at the core of this nation.  It represented the pernicious pride and disobedience this generation has been carefully taught by its faithless elders, designed to cover their sins and eat their babies – while cultivating youth to think “I’m too righteous for my shirt”.  The inescapable result:  the world groans under unbearable weight of grotesque unrighteousness.  It’s this:  Isa 64:6  But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags.

What was that just-right symbol this early Sunday morning?  In the middle of the street:  a used condom and used tampon.  Rushing on, God’s twin blessings flooded thought:  Ah, filthy Doomed america; why was I made to hear his voice?!  Praise God for His tender mercies and His true and righteous judgments!
